Baking a pris doesn't involve heating. It's just a way of saying the loose is compressed between the fingers until it becomes a solid block that won't easily come apart in the mouth. You just keep rolling and mashing and squaring off until it's compressed. The IceTool does the compression for you if you can't bake a good pris -- and many people can't or just prefer the IceTool's convenience.

TB is right on that one. I tried handbaking and it was a disaster for me. Ended up with a lot of mud mouth and snus all over the place.

Icetool makes a nice compact pris with no mess or waste. I simply fill it up and press it against the lid of the can and done!:)

Prismaster works well also for the price. I find the icetool pris much more comfortable up under the lip.

Probably true! I'll see how my venture into los goes before shelling out the $40 for an icetool. :)

Does anyone have a pic of the difference in shapes of the pris made with the icetool vs the prismaster?

Ok, I just opened the Roda Lacket. Gee this stuff is black. It smells REALLY nice. It is all stuck together as if in one big block. I snatched out a pinch, shaped into the size of a small pea, then popped it into my upper lip. Oops! It slipped, so I stuck my tongue up and pushed it in place. No mudslde, so all is well.

This is very nice actually. It is a different experience that the mini whites. I REALLY like having control over the amount of tobacco. The tell-tale burning of the first few minutes is gone now. The Roda loose is almost like a play-do. I just moved it towards the back of the right side. Everything is still in place. And there is no mudslide. There was a tiny piece that broke off, but I do not care if I swallow loose.

Is that bergamot I taste? What is that flavor in General whtie minis? That is what I am tasting right now. There is no salt. Or if there is, it is far, FAR less than the amount of salt in the white portions.

What is that other taste? It's not a licorice, but it leaves this very silky coating in the mouth and throat as a licorice might. It's not necessarily a flavor......I like this. Even with the mini-portions, there is usually a bit of draining/burning of the nicotine down the back of the throat. SInce this pris is so small, I am not getting that, yet it satisfies.

Let me see if I can move it to the back of the left without a mudslide. I don't know. What IS that? It's like SILK! My entire mouth and throat feels like SILK!

There used to be a picture comparing the 2 somewhere but I can't find it.:(
Anyway here is a pris made with an icetool. It comes out like a tootsie roll. I use the small one in the picture. You can control the length by adjusting the tool.

I am so glad you posted this. Now, if I could take that small pris you use from your photo, then slice it up into 5 disks, ONE of those disks, would be a near perfect size pris for me.
No need to slice it up. The size is controlled by how far you pull the plunger up before you pack it. The size shown is probably almost all the way up. I do about half of that length at a time.
You can basically make any size the length of that tool as it is marked in 1/2 gram marks on the plunger. That photo was pulled from the Snuson.com forum. Lots of info on the icetool there as it is their forum.

Why, or why did you tell me that? I was already jonesing HARDCORE for an Icetool snusbox, now I find out an Icetool could be useful as well? Looks like I will be converting a few greenbacks into stainless here soon.

It's definitely worth the investment if you are going to stick to los. I haven't even used my prismaster since I got the Icetool.:D

I have TWO icetools, 1 in black with General Logo but then I just had to have the stainless steel from Northerner and the portion snusbox to.
What can I say, I'm a snus ordering fool.
If they do ban the shipping of snus, what else would I buy that makes me do such a happy dance :(

I ditched the ditched the prismaster. I don't like plastic, lol

Even my PV juice is all transferred into glass bottles.:)
