Hey guys i started vaping a few weeks ago and thanks to that ive been cigarette free for 2 weeks now but i have a major problem with my liquids. I have tried Apple Daple from VaperTalk store, Peach,Pear,Strawberry,Watermelon, Cherry and from Chitown Vapors and Ry4, Cuban Cigar and Mr. Pepper from madvapes. Besides peach and apple dapple, all the other juices tasted so bad to me i almost threw up. I know everyone's tastebuds are different but im having a real big problem finding something that doesnt make me sick.

Any help would be GREAT, because i would rather smoke a cigarette than try and vape these liquids all day trying to adapt to the taste.

Here is a tip that I got here in the forum:

"insert glass full of water into microwave...turn on for 1 minute or until heated... take glass of water out of microwave... place sealed bottle of your DIY for 5-10 minutes(i usually leave it in there until the water is cooled...swirling the bottle once and awhile..)...shake a couple of times...let the DIY liquid cool back down..."

Other than that just let them in a dark / cool place for 1 week and you should be good to go.

A few vendors will give you recommendations about steep their juices. I know that AVE does have a FAQ and they answer this question there. Not sure about the vendors you mentioned tho.

This is so personal for sure as everyone has different tastes. The great news is you have found a couple you like. Also, flavors taste different from different suppliers! Example: Cherry may taste differant at Chitown then Madvapes! So do not give up on a flavor profile just because you did not like a specific liquid.

Also, i would just expect that you may not love most of what you order. Figure you have to kiss allot of frogs before you find your prince. That being said, order the small sample sizes to start before you commit to a larger quantity. Also, read others reviews. As an example, at Madvapes.com they have a 5 star rating system so all the juice I ordered was basted on what I generally like, but more importantly what rating the juice had. Hope this helps!:toast:

Thats the big dilemma -- finding juices you like! I have 2 drawers full of different juices from different places, most of which i have tried once, twice, revisited later, and still dont care for them. I would suggest you maybe look at the ECF for some highly recommended flavors that people seem to like. Also i would recommend that you try several different types of flavors. You might not know yet that you like something! Looks like you have tried mostly fruit flavors and tobacco flavors. I would try maybe a bakery type flavor (Ms. T's Bakery has wonderful flavors, their snickerdoodle and hot chocolate peppermint are great and i have several other flavors coming), a cinnamon (Vape-A-Licious has flaming pillows that cinnamon flavored and awesome, also their AGs dream is like cake flavor with a little hint of raspberry), maybe a menthol or mint type flavor (AVE massive chocolate mint is great). Also you may wanna try gorilla juice from AVE (tobacco, banana blend) and their strawberry cheesecake. All very good, but just in my humble opinion! Oh and butter rum from Vermillion River is awesome too!

Unfortunately i tried to only buy 5 star rated eliquids but my taste must be way off from theirs because i get sick just thinking about Ry4 or Cuban Cigar.

Re flavor - this is what fruit eliquid vapor will taste like: sweet or sweet&sour. That is it. And food is exactly the same. The reason is your tongue can only taste sweet, sour, salty, bitter, and umami (savory/MSG). If you don't smell it, a piece of apple will taste identical to a piece of sweet onion. You have to smell the vapor to complete the flavor. An apple liquid puts some hopefully suitable amount of sweet and sour on the tongue, but it is not apple until you smell it.

VG can dull the flavor and add more sweetness. I use high PG juices for good flavor and hit.

Heat can dull flavor - often cooler attys/cartos can deliver flavor better. Heat delivers hit better.

High nicotine can overpower flavor with its peppery effect.

Atomizers - I hate them. They degrade, the coil gets coated with baked on stuff, and everything loses its flavor. I use cartomizers for my main juices. If 7-10 days later the carto gets weak flavor and vapor, you toss it and start a fresh one.

Vaping the same or similar flavor over and over will make you not taste it. I alternate 2 contrasting flavors. one very sweet and one smoky and not sweet. Each refreshes my taste fo the other.

MadVapes doesn't even make it into the list of top 62 RY4's on the big roundup. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-liquid-reviews/193327-really-big-ry4-roundup-long-102.html

It took FOREVER for me to find juices I like. I hated most everything I tried at first. I was so disappointed by the nice names that tasted awful.

There are some great RY4 juices out there. I like Dekang RY4.

I have a suggestion, since you like fruit. I LOVE both Honeydew, and Canteloupe from TopVapes. Dekang Tab is a very smooth, sweet tobacco that I like. Also, if you like vanilla, Vanilla Strait (just vanilla, no tobacco flavor) and Bounty Hunter (caramel and chocolate and vanilla flavor) from Nite Lite Vapor.
Right now my #1 favorite vape is Vanilla Strait.

I have to agree with dormouse... Switch 2 flavors will keep them fresh... Also what equipment are you using? Maybe it's too hot and you are getting a burnt taste instead of a nice flavor... Maybe a higher ohm carto so it isn't burning things? Sick with a high Pg if you feel it lacks flavor... Try a higher vg if you feel the flavor is too strong... Also, if you have some money to burn, order some flavorless nic liquid (usually 36mg which is really high) and mix it 50/50 with nic free Pg (sold as 0mg "base" on ecig sites) so you end up with a flavorless Pg liquid at 18 mg and try it... With NO flavor, is it still gross? Try to narrow it down.... I f o flavor also makes you feel gross/sick, it's probably not he flavor or he liquid, it's probably the battery voltage, carto ohm or a reaction to th Pg... Maybe try a 100% vg liquid if the Pg is making you sick or gross.. The vg is usually a little more mellow....

Hope that helps a bit

When I started this journey I couldn't wait to try all the candy & cookie flavors out there. I'm a MAJOR sweet tooth at heart so I bought a bunch of stuff yummy pastery treats. I find them to be alright, but they just don't satisfy me. I got one little bottle of Mrs. T's Chocolate Chip Ice Cream and now all I want is anything that has a menthol or mint hit. I started making my own recipes and now I am finally satisfied as long as I get that cool minty or menthol hit. Maybe because when I smoked I was a Menthol girl? I don't know but I think it takes a while to find what works best for you. Don't give up!

I would like to recommend juice from Copper Creek. Her flavors are spot on. If you like bakery flavors or fruits you'll be very pleased.

Also, her House Blend won ecf juice of the year. :) House is one of those juices that everyone describes differently. It is great out of the mailbox but the longer it sits the better it gets.

I always joke and say the snozzberries taste like snozzberries (there aren't any snozzberries ). I get mine mixed at a 60/40 pg/vg ratio. I feel pretty confident that you will find something you like. If you like pumpkin pie, I highly recommend you give her pie juice a try too

I am currently vaping creme de menthe and it is sooooo good!

I didn't like most flavors at first. I settled on 2 menthols (no tobacco) and unflavored. try vaping unflavored, I like it, people say it has a sweet or carmel-y taste. I don't taste anything :) after 10 months of vaping I am finally liking some fruit flavors....oh and drink lots of water, did that already get mentioned?

Where do you get your menthol flavor?
