Lost and confused-please help decide

I recently got a mini from smartsmoker (wouldn't recommend). It's pricey, having trouble returning.... but I liked it okay, just want something different (manual instead, had to drag too long on it). My hubby tried it and decided he's ready to switch over to an e-cig also. He is a chain smoking truck driver and I want to get him a manual with a long battery life. I also want to get the liquid instead of pre-filled. So any suggestions what to get and where to get it? I'm thinking the 510? Remember, he drives all day and can't necessarily pull over too often to top off. He also goes to Canada 2-3 times a week. Has anyone had any problems crossing the border with one? He did take my mini up but it looks like a real cigarette. I know I could probably find the answer myself on the many postings here and I did try, got a headache, my eyes are having trouble focussing, brain overload, too much info to sort through! The more I research the more confused I get! Also considering the Chuck but am even more confused about that!! Thanks for any and all input.

If the 510 is what you have decided to get, I think you've made a good decision.

First thing I would suggest you consider is getting your husband is a USB passthru and a USB power adapter for his truck. This will resolve needing to swap batteries frequently. He will still need batteries for when he's not in the truck.

You will still have the problem of topping off. There are a couple options, first have prefilled carts to carry on his trips so while he's driving all he has to do is swap them out and then he can refill later. That's assuming you are filling the carts yourself and not buying prefilled.

I'm sure others will have suggestions as well. There's isn't a perfect answer for you situation, you just have to find what works for you. These are a couple things I would have you consider.

BTW...Welcome to the forum!

I understand the frustration here. Starting out.. until you find what fits is definately confusing.

Ok.. He can always use pre-fills on the trip and refill.... I would think this would be tiring .. but right now the only other option would be to spend a lot of money on a GGT or GG grant with an AFS.. the AFS is an auto fill reservoir for liquid - these are really nice but very pricey as they are made in Greece by hand and it takes quite a while to get.

As far as devices .... I would recommend either the titan 510 or SD from Totally Wicked.... The Chuck is nice and versatile but being that he is a truck driver.. I think the Baby chuck at 3.7 will give him a better battery life ... and Jokers recommendations are very good advice for battery options. I also think the Prodigy V2 might be a good one to look at as well.

Hope this helps.

I'm not sure, but I think there are mods out there that can juice inject. I think that's what he'd need as a truck driver.

I drip constantly, but I have no idea how I'd get through a long car drive without constantly pulling over to drip every 30 minutes. Even carts don't last very long, and he'd still have to pull over to change them.

There is but they are very costly, i think the AFS Auto Feed System for a GG is like 80 bux my itself, yet alone about 150 bux for the mod. But hey, if you can afford that setup, that is the shiznet right there.

I would recommend a KR808D-1. VaporKing from vapor4Life is a good one but the generic ones are good too. I have both. Passthrough and a USB car adapter is a must. Lots of cartomizers and some bottled juice. He can top off the carts when he stops at a truckstop. Trust me, it's difficult at best to top off while you're driving and for saftey's sake not a good idea. Go with a cartomizer 2-piece model. Good luck!

8-o

Just one more reason I love a Kr8! I couldn't imagine having to top off or refill a cart every 30 minutes. I put a full carto on my batt and take along a spare or 2 of different flavors incase the mood warrants it, and I am good to go for 2 days!
