So I got a big (for me) Nicoticket order in last week. I set the reorders aside to steep and I taste tested everything that was new to me. For my taste test I dripped on my Kato Hammer, and I found some mehs (Homeslice, Frenilla, and Strawnilla) and some that held future promise (Band Camp and Roundhouse) and three that I absolutely loved (Banana Pudding, Wakonda, and The Virus). I bought the Banana Pudding for my husband so I fixed up a tank for him but I resolved to save the others for when I bought a high end box mod. Well my Hana arrived today and I was like a kid at Christmas filling up my KFLv2 (1.2 ohm boiled organic cotton) with The Virus. I took my first hit and it was bad, really bad. I've done VV/VW before so I just adjusted my settings again, and again, and again, then I gave up and put it on a mech, still no joy, different drip tips, still a nope. I usually don't go in for tobacco flavors so I was really excited that I loved The Virus, in the dripper it tasted like hot maple syrup and brown sugar, in the tank it tastes like yuck. There is no way I can drip 15ml at 18mg (my current strength) my throat will curl up and die. So anybody have any tips? Should I just let it steep and try again later or is this something that's going to end up on the classifieds?

Mix some frenila into it...Can't imagine what is wrong, the virus is a very strong pancake/maple syrup in my PT with rebuilt coil at 1.4...
In the KFL the Tobacco Absolute is very forward (for me)... I enjoy it, but it does "blast out" the nuances I enjoy.
Yeah I have a really strange sense of taste (I didn't like Frenilla or Strawnilla either and everyone loved those), which of course I didn't realized until I started vaping. In the dripper I can't taste the tobacco at all and in the tank I can only taste the tobacco, guess I'm not a tobacco girl after all. Oh well, next month's order will be a whole lot of The Doodle then 
Set the strawnilla and frenila aside to steep. Both were sort of one dimensional right now, but in two months they will be magnificent!! 
Let that Frenilla steep for at least 2 months. And if you still dont like it, hit me up, Ill buy/trade it from ya

Don't worry, I'm not giving up hope yet. I didn't love GCD or Doodle until they came into their own after a month in my cabinet. I like to do an initial taste test though just to see the starting point. The Nillas were a leap for me anyway, I love vanilla but I can't usually do creamy. Although the closest thing I have to an ADV is a Blueberries and Cream flavor (the only good blueberry I've ever found in a vape), but in that a realistic wild blueberry is in the forefront and the cream just kinds of smooths it out, even that needs a month long steep before it becomes vapeable to me. Strawnilla might never hit it for me, but I will say that the initial taste was way better than Mother's Milk which legit made my stomach turn.

If it never comes around, *well steeped* Frenilla and Strawnilla will always be in demand - safe bet.
Yeah I knew that when I ordered, that's why I did 50ml of Frenilla without tasting it first
18mg will be a turn off to a lot of people but Frenilla addicts will need their fix 
I am wondering how much the 18mg affects flavor? I know I can taste a difference when I went from 12 to 6 - tastes smoother to me. But, for me personally I haven't been a fanatic by itself. Before the firing squad gets ready, let me say, that I cannot live without it. I don't think mine have steeped enough to be that "stand alone" and I've had mine for over a month now. But, it mixes and plays well and somehow magically makes everything I mix it with taste better. The strawnilla for me straight out of the package was magnificent so I imagine with time it will only get better. The virus definitely came around with time. A good way to tell...when you put it away and then come back to it, if it looks darker in color, it probably is getting there for sure. Some of them require a couple of months to really do the trick.
To me it all depends on who is making the liquid. I've had high end boutique liquid at 18mg that tasted like just pepper even after a cap off steep, I've also had low nic liquid I could taste the nic in more than I can my preferred flavors for 18mg.
I vape 18mg, so in the future, if it doesn't hit home for you, I'm sure that we can find a suitable trade.

Are you willing to try it in 12mg? If so, I will trade you a 90 day steeped bottle for your fresh. It would at least answer your curiosity if it will come around for you later. PM me if interested.
While I am willing to trade things with less nic, I just tanked the Frenilla for the first time and there is no way I'm going to be able to vape it, steeped or not. I wasn't expecting it to have such a strong cream note so soon, to me it's even stronger than in CB and CLS. Heavy cream notes always interpret as Play Doh for me and my husband for some reason. Yeah I'm going to have a serious trade coming up (tanked others as well) or I've got a lot of juice going to the Classifieds.
