Lost my first atty today: eulogy

It was a good atty, my first atty, had it from the beginning, and although it was used along side 3 others, it definetaly got the most playing time, I credit this atty with getting me off analogs, as well as many many good times, like the first taste of RY4, or that wonderfull expresso from JC first thing in the morning.

On the day its production started to decline, I did everything in my power to salvage it, but its time had come, he lived a good long 60+ days and will always be remembered.

What do you do with a dead atty, throw it away?

Measure the resistance with an ohm meter before pronouncing it dead.

Dead attys can come in handy on some mods..otherwise you know what to do.

I intend to keep my very first atty when it dies - in a little glass box on the mantle, with a little brass plate inscribed with my quit smoking day. The atty that eliminated ciggies from my life forever certainly deserves a lasting place of honor as a conversation starter at family gatherings, I might not have otherwise been present to enjoy...

I'd advise keeping all those techno parts. Who knows, someday in the future we may have a factory stamping out replacement parts for that atomizers 50c to a dozen.

No kidding, I'd wait a few years...unless you're rich.

But, now I feel bad, I've started playing around with different flavors, and some of them contain peppermint oils and even.... sugar... I know it's going to kill an atomizer, but I'm willing to take that risk and see which mixtures I like and how long they take before I kill an atty. I figure, if I love the taste, and the atty lasts a few weeks, eh, I vape for the flavor, not the sentiment
