Here is a quick story.
I was in a car crash 4 weeks ago and hurt my neck it was a rollover crash.

I was released from my doc and the comp doc to go back to work the first day back I was stiff and sore half way through the day.

The second day I hurt my neck again working on a machine I called in Wednesday to my boss and told him I was going to the doc I hurt my neck at work he said go the the comp doc because they released me to go back to work so I did.

I was put on restrictions and went to work gave the letter to my boss then he left for the day.
He did not tell my lead man about my restrictions and he had me do regular work I did it but took it easy.

Half way through the day he told me to fix a break down and break down are extremely hard on your body.

So I told him I cant I am on restrictions he says show me the paper work I said I dont have it then he calls me a fu$%ing lair.

I stormed to the highest guy there at the time I work nites and I was yelling at him about my lead man harassing me.

He took it personal and walk me out of the plant.

HR calls me and said to come in for a meeting so i did and gave my story.

HR calls me back the next day and says I no longer work there.
WTF

I moved 3 states away from home for this job.

They moved me here for the job.

not good, sorry to hear about this skull...didn't sound like a friendly work environment to begin with with all the hostility....who you work with is almost just as important as the job you work at...had a run in with an overbearing manager before and thought just better to leave for better pastures, glad I did but heck that was in a lot better economy....hope things either work out with your job or you find something else pretty quick

I remember your accident, too. God, sorry about this b.s. Especially since you moved for this job! You should have recourse, the fact that you saw a comp doctor should work in your favor. The biggest "if" would be where you are located. The south is rough for workers rights. I had a non-injury case in NC that I won, barely. Good luck and feel free to unload. Let us know what we can do. But most of all, heal.

I'm sorry to hear it....my husband went through something similar a few years ago. Got hurt on the job and was out for several months, when he went back it seemed like they were looking for any excuse to get rid of him. They ended up using an interaction with another employee as the basis for his dismissal, it is the easiest way because they don't have to actually prove you did anything wrong. The alleged belligerence or attitude based on the word of the other employee or supervisor is grounds enough.

We had moved from Louisiana to Arizona for this job-and this company/housing was in the middle of nowhere so there were no other options-so we fought it with the HR appeals process and lost of course. I suppose we could have tried to sue but that would have taken forever and we had to have an income and house, with no guarantees it would pay off later anyway we just moved on.

Seems to me that since you are still not 100% physically that you would have more recourse than we did. They really left ya in a tough spot. Wishing you the best of luck in getting it sorted out.

Well I called the lawyer and he told he to file a complaint with the human rights dept so I did that.
He said if I end up getting unemployment then I was fired for no cause because unemployment will investigate before I get benefits.
If I get unemployment thats looks good for my case.
Also once my company finds out I filled with human rights they might just call me to come back to work my lawyer has seen this happen.
Also my company has a very good hot line that will investigate what happened they also have got people's jobs back from being fired.
