about may I was told by the doc's I had emphysema, they gave me a breathing test, today I had to have another,may is when I started vaping,and using a inhaler. the test today showed that my lung function was improved by 15%.the point is that using a e-cig will not hurt your lungs.if it did hurt the lungs I would not had haved the improvment that I have.I did tell my doc that I used a e-cig, he said o.k but don't get stupid with it. I thought that when I told him,he would pound me, but just got a o'k. he is a rabid anti-smoking doc.

awesome news! start going for walks now or jogging in small bursts until you can jog to the end of the block your lung function will improve even more but remember to use moderation
I got the same news 9 months ago and today I have the lungs of a tired 20 year old (exact words from doctor) which is pretty good for someone near 40.

What a great thread,i was diagnosed with copd about year ago,and my lung capacity has improved so much,that my doctor never put me on any med's.It's good to see i am not the only one at such a young age,suffering from this terrible disease,thank god i found the e-cig when i did

Before my wife was diagnosed with stage 4 billiary carcinoma (liver cancer) we both vaped. After she got the news she started smokin' again. I've got her back down to about 5 analogs a day and vapin' the rest. Geez, even if ya don't have lung or other health probs e-cigs is so much better for ya. This is wonderful news OP! I can see these success stories makin' it into the news; I just hope it comes hard and fast.
Fantastic story OP. My last check up the doc said my lungs had never sounded so clear and my B/P was almost normal. I don't have to do the dreaded breathing treatments 2-3 times a day now, just as needed (haven't had one in the last 15+ days and that one was mostly alergies I think) We need more great news stories like this one. BTW I also have severe COPD, but don't have the exacerbation attacks like I use to.

Personally I'm 56 and been smoking for 45 years. Was going through 2-3 packs a day.
