I just cleaned my new protank 2 & realized I lost the flavor wicks. Figure I might as well be positive and use this is a good opportunity to try rebuilding for the first time. What would be a good material to use for a replacement flavor wick?
Go to Wal-Mart, in the craft/sewing department, and get a roll of white Peaches & Creme brand cotton yarn. Cut two little pieces off that and use that for flavor wicks. Be sure to cut the ends as close to the edge of the head as possible, like the original wicks. Much better than just about anything else out there, and at $3 or so for over 100 yards it might outlast your Protank. It will also instantly cure flooding/gurgling.
I also wanted to know this I ordered 2mm silica I was planning on folding it over would that work as well or is it best to have a flavor wic out of something else
