Various types of goo have been suggested for various parts of the PV. I want to go to the hardware store and get one of each, and deal with it all in one trip. Here's what I think I need, but please confirm and advise.

- Nolox: To put on threads to keep them from cross threading.

- Silver Conducting Grease: To put on the adapter contacts (both sides: battery contact and top of the atomizer post).

- Something (a little help here, please?): To clean the threads and other parts that might get black buildup over time.

Do I have it all - is there anything else I should get? Do I have their uses correct?

Thanks!!!

Personally, I switched to vaping to avoid as many chemicals as possible, so I don't use any of the stuff listed here, besides rubbing alcohol to clean the threads and parts of the unit. Alcohol evaporates, leaving nothing behind... but I don't think there is research to support the notion that those other ingredients listed in this thread cause no ill effects if any residue is left behind (and subsequently heated up a bit by vaping with the unit).

So, in my view, the fewer chemicals involved the better.

Best place (one of the only places) for the silver gel is WW Grainger.
It's called Silver Conducting grease and is made by Circuit works CW7100
It's about $32 for a 6.5 gram tube that will last you for the rest of your life.
It takes a pin head size amount to coat everything it touches.

Ultimist, I agree 100%
The chemicals described are not in the vaping stream or I wouldn't use them.
They're inside the tube.
The only thing I use that becomes in the stream is PGA (Everclear, pure grain alcohol).
If I use it to flush an atty or clean the adapter I then flush it with hot distilled water.

I don't wanna be sucking no crazy fumes into my body. That's why I got away from the analogs.
