I have an ego c twist and I'm assuming the stock atomizer is a type b.... I took it apart to try to clean it, been going on close to 3 weeks using it and started to notice a burnt taste at voltages around 4.0
It still works.... I just popped the top off and attempted to rinse the wick off and did a dry burn on the coil.... do you keep doing the dry burn until the coil gets shiny? It turned from dark and gunky looking to having a grayish filmy look to it.... the top of the wick looked god but the bottom kept the same dark color the coil originally had.... didnt take the wick out, it wasnt a serious endeavour in trying to clean it as I have another one.... put it back together after drying everything.... lots of popping and stuff, assuming it was getting all of the water out of the wick and the coil.... it still pops and stuff after it started producing vapor again, but it doesn't have the same taste as it did before, I could at least detect the flavor of the juice before the burnt taste hit.... still burning water off? Should I have put a drop of juice in the coil before putting it back together? Trying to limit having to buy hardware and stuff so the wife sees the savings of vaping over smoking and I just broke even the other day....
