As far as single & dual coil... Which is better?. lol, i'm just curious for the setup that I am getting.

I may end up with a couple more accessories, so I would like to be informed. :)

On the ego-sized batteries, I feel a single coil is better. The starter kit I bought - from MadVapes.com - came with 2 Dual Coil Carto tanks and 2 ego 650mah batteries. The vape was really weak. It didn't even produce as much vapor as the blu disposables I was using at the time. I swapped out to Kanger t2s @ 1.8ohm which was much better.

Scarecrow, you're looking good to go. Just my preference, but I would get 2 of each the Kanger T3 and Mini Nova to start (along with the replacement heads). Backups, backups, backups. ;) Plus it'll alow you to have more than one juice going throughout the day. Many of us switch on and off rather than having an exclusive "all day" vape. Of course, a dripping atty will also allow you to sample throughout the day. I do that a lot at home. But dripping on the go is a pain. So it's mostly an at home thing for me.

Kanger T3s do better with thicker juices than Mini Novas do, if that helps you decide which juice to put in which.

Carto tanks? Go for it. Now whether you want to go with a single coil or dual coil carto, I'll let someone more knowledgeable than I on the subject answer that.

And in a couple weeks/months when you know for sure you'll continue with this, consider buying an extra Spinner battery (again: backups, backups, backups). Or maybe at that point, you'll be interested in a larger mod depending on your vape budget. You don't need a mod. But you might get the bug. ;)

Greetings all.. Alan here

I have many questions and I figured this was the place to do it. a few for now.. more to follow as I think of them.. I will be picking up my first mid range kit in about a week.. for now I an using the V2 system.. much like the rest of the analog looking e-cigs to me are nasty. anyway... here it goes lol

1. I have seen people using low-res cartos, ect. on high-voltage devices on youtube like GrimmGreen... But I have also heard that doing so will burn out the coils. Conflicting information that is necessary to know before I buy anything.

2. propylene glycol.. Is it safe?.. I mean it is used in anti-freeze and I have heard it can be toxic. (but not as toxic as analogs.. lol)

Question 1. I say go low res it takes less volts/power to heat the coil,(Less power loss)as you heat a wire the resistance goes up, it's just MO better(IMO),get a VV,VW and find what voltage/wattage with low res works best to suite your needs.

Question 2. Go VG as much as you can,PG dries you out and is not as natural as VG.most people I know that use even a 50/50 PG/VG mix(mysef included)even if not allergic to it find that it will dry them out(dandruff, dry skin, itchy skin)VG is not as sweet but you can buy sweetener that wiill go along way to add to your juice without worrying if you are doing it right(just sweeten to your own taste and some of the best juices out there are 100%VG (boba's bounty,Gorilla juice at avejuice.com)add everclear if not wicking on what you are using to keep you satisfied . VG is a little thicker and doesn't wick as well as PG but that can be overcome by adding just a little everclear to thin it up,you will not taste the everclear at all.

we are not trying to cut through a piece of titanium,we are just trying to reach the temperature at which PG/VG vaporizes without burning through silica/fiberglass/ss mesh wick

Officially stopped smoking as of midnight.. I am not making it a resolution, I am doing it for me. I have come to terms that the only way I am going to get healthy is to stop.

Presently I am using the V2 e-cig. However in about a week (I keep saying that.. lol) I will be making a purchase of the mod & accessories that I have chosen. To reflect back on my list.. I have decided that I will go for a lower ohm atty.. 2.0-2.5 instead of 3.0, Thank you Ray D for the suggestion.

Now I pretty much know what I want.. But would like to know:

thanks all & will let ya know what I get when I hit the shop. :)

The list again (subject to change if they don't have something in stock):
(2) Ego? Vision spinner units (1300 mAH) VV
Kanger T3 Clearomizer
Vision Mini ViVi Nova 2.5 tank
SR510 (Cisco Spec) 2.0 ohm Bridgeless Atomizer (For tasting juices)
A carry pouch or case of some sort.
Possibly a "Carto" Tank
A couple juices w/ low or no nicotine
Possible sleeves for cosmetic appearances, Thanks noi_max
Just MHO but I would go with no less then 18mg if you want to be sucessful. You can always lower your nic level later, but if you start too low it will be more difficult to put the cigarettes down. I understand wanting to be nic free, but at this point it may be to hasty. You could step down with each juice order and even use different levels for different times, like a higher mg when the cravings are strong.

Good point.. I am just not sure how much nicotine to use, I don't want to overdo it. But I eventually I would like to be Nic free. I plan on vaping long term.. Just no nicotine after a while.

i was a heavy smoker, i use 24 or 2.4 as some call it, and its just about the same as the frequency i was smoking. i have a bottle of 12 and a bigger bottle of 9 sitting around for at home use at night, after work when im just poking around on the computer and chain vaping. i didnt want the same nic level that i wanted when i wake up and head out for a work and have that morning smoke to get going.

the setup looks awesome, and im so excited because i just ordered almost the same items, i got a couple of the vivi tank systems, like the big one, the mini, and the clear, and the one with the viewing windows in the metal tank... just because it looks cool. got some T3 clearos as well. im sure we will be experimenting with the same equipment around the same time... but mine are already on the way :)

Former 2 pack a day smoker here.....my setup is pretty much like what you are looking at. Have a couple vision spinners and vivis and mini vivis. Couple of dcts from smoktek and using some of the Cisco 2.5 ohm bridgeless attys for sampling. Started using 24 nic and down to 18 nic now.....I think you would be ok with 16 or 18 nic to start. I've started diy juices now and have all varieties of strength in my ejuices...gives me the flexibility to cut my nicotine down to whatever levels I want.

Hey y'all ..

Well.. I did not get what I wanted, But am still VERY happy. The shop is very new so they did not have much. Will be doing a little shopping online when I can afford it.

However I picked up the following stuff

eGo 1,000 mAH VV battery
4 eGo Vision Clearomizers (3 Green Long wick, & 1 Blue short wick)
a carry case
4 juices (30ml Red Marble, 10ml Peppermint, 10ml Pomegranate, 10ml Coffee.. All of which are 12mg nic)

DSCN4597_zps354f83c4.jpg

Now As far as the juices go =
The Red Marble - The best tasting tobacco I tried at the shop, It reminds me of Marlboro
The Peppermint - Decent but seems weak.. Will be looking for some with more "POW"
The pomegranate - Pretty good.. could be stronger
The Coffee - Found out that it is more like espresso, but is too thick for the clearomizers.. Will have to be thinned out.. good flavor though

Again I will be doing more shopping around later.. but my experience so far - Why did I wait so long to try this... I'm loving it!

propelyne glycol is a food additive, for the most part.

ethelyne glycol is used iin antifreeze. very different things.

this. When people say ERMEHGHERD IT'S ANTIFREEZE they're usually thinking of ethelyne glycol.

Propelyne glycol is replacing ethelyne glycol slowly but surely precisely because it's "non-toxic"
