:lol::lol: That must have big one big roach...to damage your toe that badly.

And my busy days come in spurts....nothing going on for a while, then BAM. You know how that goes.

I meant your upcoming trip.

It was one of those big outside roaches on the porch. The porch had bricks built up around it with concrete toppers that make like a seat. The only thing that I can imagine that caused it might have been kicking at a roach and hitting the bricks. I wear soft shoes that are like brushed leather all around. I don't actually remember that happening, but it's all I can imagine.

And instead of hurting yourself kicking them....try making noodle soup with them instead.

    th

That's about the size of them outside here, but the shell and wings are that dark brown (not patterned like those). These BassTurds can FLY!!! I've seen roaches in the Azores Islands off of Portugal that are actually 4 and 5 inches long. They look and sound like a WW II Bomber . . .

No....we usually do not go away for more than two or three days at a time.....but this year, Hubs won the company trip, and we had already booked Alaska for our 25th anniversary trip. So, yes, we are going to be gone more this year....but it probably will never happen again. Hubs is already apprehensive about being gone from his office for almost two weeks. He has never done that before. And I feel the same way about my house and cat. But we do have great neighbors....they will watch over the place and take care of our kitty.

One of the few advantages of living in a colder climate.....bugs do not get very big. Most die every winter. The size of the bugs in Florida fascinate me....when we go down to visit my brother, I cannot believe the size of the bugs that come out at night. You can see them walking in the street under the street lights...gives me the heebie jeebies.

Your house and kitty will be taken care of, but I'll be going through withdrawals here.

That's it... wood roaches. I couldn't remember. I don't know where they come in here. I think they may crawl in through the dryer vent that goes down through the kitchen floor. One may get in on occasion at the front door.

Nope.....you know how I am. I would not kill them...just catch them and put them out. Of course something that big, I would put out in the neighbor's yard, not mine.

Did you notice how packed the beach was today? I'll notice.

Don't feel bad about leaving me here, with my bad toe and all. I'll be OK.

    oh yes we will :(

AWWWWW....it is nice to be loved. And I will miss you guys too....but I am not taking my computer. Imagine dragging that along to all those places. :D And up there.....they probably have never even heard of internet service. I guess Denali Park is pretty back woodsy....the reviews I read of our lodge say we will be lucky if the water for the shower ever gets warm. Oh well, we are on vacation....who needs showers? Spit baths are always warm. :p

On the porch, it's way different, though. When it gets warmer, there are anywhere from 5 to 20 of them running around out there. Now I have a cat that catches them inside for me. :D Then I smash them. Can't help it. Something won't let me release them for them to get back inside again. It's not like there aren't billions of them.
