Do you push a pencil or use a computer?

I did some computer work for an accountant years ago, who was finally forced to move away from DOS computers because they were breaking and became uneconomical to repair. Some of his files could be moved, but most were inaccessible because of the non-Microsoft DOS he had been using. I temporarily installed a 5 1/4 inch floppy drive to copy files, but the files were incompatible with Windows 98. So I sat and read numbers from a screen for a while as he entered them into another PC. He could bang away on a number keypad without looking like nobody's business. I couldn't believe it, and he said he never made a typo. He decided he could pay his assistant less to do that, but I was amazed at how fast he could enter numbers on that number pad.

 We actually(late 80's)used the IBM AS400 accounting program. It was DOS. We actually still use it but it's "morphed" into compatibility with the new systems(Microsoft). My ten key used to be lightening fast but as the years have gone by and the arthritis has gotten worse...I'm not so fast anymore. That's what accounting clerks young hands are for. Any more I mostly sign stuff and look at stuff. :D

 Hi Tink!

Got a little excited there for a bit
Been ignoring the ProVari's until they came out with that Metallic Green one

I love my ProVari. I have two of the plain old silver ones. Maybe I should go look at their site to see the new colors?? :sneaky:

Nah… I probably shouldn't :D

So do you put a do not disturb sign on your door for naps?

 Nope! Don't need to. EVERYONE knows better than to disturb me during nap time. Oh...and they don't dare do a fire drill during that time. I...I'd have to kill someone. A simple firing wouldn't satisfy me for having my nap interrupted. :D
