Hey, that Panzer is seriously beautimous! Congratulations!!!!

My rig isn't what you'd call Portable.

The Panzer weighs in at almost 11 ounces. I am reasonably sure it could survive being run over by a tractor. Seriously.

It's built like, well.....a tank! ;D

I tend to buy a mod and use it exclusively.

What are you using for wicking in you EHPro? I built my Phoenix with Aunt Lydia's 100% Viscose Bamboo (size 10) from Michael's. It says 1.5mm, but it's smaller than that. I followed this guy . . .

I think I used 29g Kanthal, or maybe 30g. I bought white (bleached) bamboo twine. He has the natural color.

Quigs is a great guy. I met him last year in Wick Materials. Safe vs Dangerous.

After swearing that Ekowool was the poo, I am back to seriously preboiled 100% organic cotton yarn wrapped in 28 or 30 gauge Nichrome.

I used to vape bamboo but the taste was noticeable with sub-ohm builds.

Are you building microcoils? I haven't tried that yet. They even have nano microcoils now. Tiny wick holes with cotton. This is sometimes for things like the ProTank and such.

Are you in Europe, or do you just prefer NiChrome over Kanthal?

Well, I am not sure what constitute microcoils. I can only make .5Ω coils have 3 actual coils using 28ga wire. I was just thinking today that I should buy some 26ga or lower to increase the coil count. Any smaller diameter wraps.....I just can't imagine how you would thread a wick that small.

You could Google microcoil and Rip Tripper, but a microcoil is a special way of wrapping, where all the coil wraps actually touch. Before being inserted into the device, and before any wicking is inserted, the coil is compressed so that everything touches, and then it is torched for about 10 seconds. That Oxidizes it so there are no shorts, and makes it stay together in that compressed shape. This way, you can fit more wraps into a tight space.

A nano microcoil just has a smaller diameter center hole.

Well, this is my rationalé re: Kanthal versus Nichrome:

In my Neurological Biochemistry studies throughout the years I have noticed a continuous pattern of aluminum contamination causing or contributing to Alzheimer's and general mental decline. So I have switched to a deodorant stone for anti-perspirant (as most all deodorant contains Aluminum) and totally stayed away from Aluminum cookware or anything
that is or contains aluminum.

Kanthal is composed partially of Aluminum, Nichrome isn't. :)
