Right now she is making 30 wire wrapped dragon flies mounting on a stone for a wedding! That's sixty sets of dragonfly wings (made from wire) she had to make 'cause each dragonfly has two sets of wings! She is making the bodies of wire and Swarovski crystals. She also made the Bride's jewelry (pearl earrings and necklace).
She does art shows during the fall and spring (we don't really have a winter). She also does beading. She is very good at it and enjoys it when she is not under a deadline!!!
That sounds beautiful! She must be very talented. How cool to be doing art shows!
I'm very new to this. I've been taking silversmithing classes since March. Also took a lapidary class, then the second one was cancelled....I was crushed because I grew up with it but I don't have the equipment. Luckily it starts up again next week, along with the 3rd silver class. I've built a silver workshop in my basement and have been playing down there a lot. I practice in jewelers brass and then if successful make the object in silver.
It's becoming an obsession!
