That sounds really nice!!! And all of those things are included in the price of staying there?

 Yes! They only pay for cable package upgrade. It's like they're on a vacation only...they can put their clothes away in their own furniture. It's pretty cool. I guess it's pretty expensive(around $4,300.00/month)but by the time you figure you're no longer paying utilities, personal property taxes, house and auto insurance, maintaining the house, buying groceries, gas and auto repair/upkeep...it's really a great deal! Now they DO have a full kitchen in their apartment if they want to cook or entertain or...they can just go down and get whatever they want. And if they don't feel like going down to eat...they'll bring the food up to them like...room service!
I...I may move in tomorrow! :D

    Good morning Beach!! :)
    Good morning JJ :)

 Hi VG, Sun and Dale! Got my folks moved yesterday. What a chore! And daaaayummmmm...that place is like a 5 star hotel! I know where I'm going when I get old(older that is). It's a giant two bedroom apartment looking out over the common area. Big ole balcony. A piano bar kind of place. They come in and clean your apartment and drive you anyplace you want to go. There food is great if you want to go down to the restaurant/cafeteria. They had a big ole "community" barbecue last night...yeah...what a place! :D
    Great Megger's hon!!

    Wow, I'm behind :?:

That's quite a price tag!!! The cost of living is so much cheaper in Louisiana, as compared to most of the USA, I'm wondering what a program like that would cost here. Of course, there are a lot of amenities there that I don't have, and that price is for 2 people, but I live on a fraction of that per month.

But if they are happy, that's all that really matters! :thumb:

In these cases you get what you pay for. No dollars = no amenities.

Even JJ was shocked at the price, and she lives pretty near Chicago, so I guess you're right about that! But again, Meggers' Mom and Dad are happy, so I'm happy for all of them.

    How's Old Daddy doing, Baby?

 Well...between their SS and Dad's retirement(that alone covers the cost), their savings and here shortly...the sale of their house...I figure they can afford to live there for around 15 years. I don't think either one will live to be 105 years old. And since they have the money...they might as well spend it now and be really comfortable rather than leave it behind! :D

Back to not wanting to eat. At least they are able to get an Ensure down him each day. I suppose he's depressed now that we've all gone home and he has only two visit per day.

You're right. They've earned it! :thumb: And they are in a place where you don't have to worry too much about them. Are they pretty close to where you live?

That seems to be the case. Maybe phone calls from all of you would help.

    Good Morning, Beachers.

Company coming for dinner tonight, pork chops on the grill. So I have to go to the meat market (only company gets butcher shop quality), and then get my self home to do some cleaning....or I might just shut all the doors to all the rooms and clean only the pathway to the bathroom. :D

Busy day....and I don't like that! Aren't Fridays and Sundays supposed to be days of rest? Oh wait....I invited them: what was I thinking!!

Off to shower and get dressed. :(

The gym is done for da day. Yay!!! I'm dressed (unlike glam), but i'll need to get undressed to take a shower so I can go out and get some beer.:D On second thought, why do I need to get a shower to pick up some beer? IDK:?:

Because you might meet some sexy silky in the store and want to invite her to the party. :D

    Hey beachmates :D

MIL came home from hospital yesterday. She seems to be doing really well :thumb: Her sister stayed with her last night. I am going to spend the night tonight. Unfortunately, she does not have internet ( :glare: ) so I won't get to play much on the beach. I will use my iPhone as a hotspot for my iPad… but will have to limit it so I don't use all of our data plan in one night

Guess I will be taking books, crosswords, and a big bottle o' wine
