Tink....tell hubs there are leaner cuts of corned beef out there....mine hardly had any fat on it, and it was really good. Of course, he might think any fat at all is bad....but that is not what nutritionists are saying now.

No, she got here too late to go eagle viewing. And we told our friends no because we were not sure what time she was coming. So, we did not get to see any eagles. They are such awesome birds, I would have loved to go see them.

I was with him at the store. We looked at some corned beef and he said "See… that is nothing but fat. It is nasty!" And it did look like a lot of fat in it So, I didn't pursue it. Whatever. I got the ingredients to make more chicken salad. I love that stuff!

I guess there is an eagle living in the city park in the little bitty town (200 population) a couple of miles from here. Hubs has seen it....and he says he has seen it in our yard, but I never have.

Yes, they are awesome. Is the American Bald eagle still in danger of extinction?? I know it used to be, but haven't heard lately whether their population is building back up or not.

We have turkey vultures in our neighborhood Those are some ugly birds!

There are two kinds of cuts.... the point cut, and the flat cut which does not have much fat....ours just had a thin layer on one side. After cooking, I just cut that off the meat, and it looked like this.
