Why yes, they are. If the printer doesn't get with the action I will pick them out and send them through it for a final crunchy farewell.

I will, but I don't have a lot of hope for a fix. The last time I had contact with hp they told me to put my husband on the phone as they needed to speak with someone who could understand directions.

I get that from the cable company. I just hand the phone to DH. He tells them to talk to me.

In a case like that, you just have a jerk on the line. You can ask to speak to a Supervisor and report him, and then have the super help you, if that tech doesn't "accidentally" disconnect you, or hang up and call back until you get someone with patience and is willing to help.
