Good Afternoon, My Dear Heart.

I hope this starts a new and wonderful chapter in your life.

Good Morning, Beach......

Leaving in just a couple of minutes to get my brakes changed.

Sun.....have a safe journey, I know you are traveling with a heavy heart....please remember that we all care very much. You will need lots of courage the next few days.

th

See you later, Beachers.

Good Afternoon, Glam.

Still sitting here... hope they get here soon.

I'm glad you don't have to drive. I was concerned about that. I'll be thinking of you.

I'm so glad to hear that you aren't making the trip by yourself!

sympathy_beach.jpg

And good morning beach. :)

Good Afternoon, JJ.

That's a beautiful poem!

Back from dealership who checked my brakes and said not ready for new ones yet.....gave me estimation for new ones in about 7,000 miles. $900....I don't think so.:shock::shock: I will shop this job!!

Now, I need to clean house so we can leave for our concert, and maybe get there soon enough for some appetizers at my favorite Chinese restaurant, and drink another Lucky Buddha Beer....brought me luck last time. Oh yeah....going to the casino after the concert. Have to since they are in the same city.

Probably will not see you until tomorrow morning, Beachers. Have a good Friday, everyone, and a safe one for Sun.

Drink a Lucky Buddha Beer for me. I'm trying to be supportive because you're going to the casino. :D

Afternoon beachmates :D

So…. our air conditioner has officially called it quits :( It ran for about a week after the repair. Yesterday I noticed it making a surging sound. Guy came out today and it is shot. Sigh. Will at least be the end of next week before we can get a new one. That is an expense I was really hoping to avoid :glare: Maybe I'll sign up for some freelance to cover the cost… but I haven't mentioned that to DH yet  Coz I really don't like working extra!!

Still thinking of and praying for Sun!! (((hugs)))

Hello, Tink.

Sorry about your A/C, but it sounds to me like they are just trying to sell a new system. Motors, Compressors, and Control Boards should be able to be purchased and replaced, where ever the bad part is, either for the inside unit or the outside unit. They will argue that newer systems are more efficient and all that rot, but it has been said that the new systems are designed to only last 10 years, so I'd be trying to extend the life of what I already have... even if this one is already 10 years old. If one company won't work with you, then try another.

It's just a suggestion.

I know, Sarge. It's a sad day for Sun. :(

But I say Hello.

Good afternoon VG luv  , Tink, and Pepper. :)

Man it's slow here on ECF today :?:

Hello, Dearest.

I didn't expect much on the Beach today, but maybe later tonight. Guess we'll see. It's OK because I'm trying to finish my paperwork. I guess maybe getting serious about it would help.

So Lurkers is slow for you, too. Did you have to go to work today?

Very slow, about 24 post's total today.

No, no work ... not turning out quite like I had hoped for
But it is the slow season so guess there's just not much available to do.

Good luck finishing up your paperwork :)

Yeah, I understand what you are saying. However, this unit started leaking freon a few years ago and once that starts happening it is on the downhill slide. Also according to my son (who became an expert when he started working for the heat/air company ;) ) the duct work under the house "is crappy" So, we are going to get the guy (whom my son worked for) to check all that out too.

I wish we could afford to replace our duct work, you can tell our's is not done well by how it cools; bathrooms freezing and bedrooms too hot
Can't speak for all of them but our newer one is certainly more energy efficient than the original :)

I got the worst of it done. :w00t:

Wow! Sounds like a major overhaul. Sorry, hon. But it's good that your son could give you an honest evaluation.

There could be a problem with the ductwork, but how well each room cools and heats can also be dependent on how far away each room is from the plenum of the central unit inside (where all the ductwork connects). The further away a room is, the more pressure is needed, and often the closer rooms reduce the pressure needed for the farther rooms. The air in the closer rooms blows harder, and in the father rooms, not as hard. This could be your situation, or at least part of it.

Ductwork should also be sized according to the size of the room, and to be able to handle any branches properly when one run from the plenum covers two rooms.

Actually the absolute coldest room it the bathroom farthest from the unit  It' is rather small tho'
The living room I can understand since it's a pitched ceiling.

Yeah, smaller bathrooms tend to get more air because it's hard to size the duct to the absolute correct size. You may need another vent or two for the pitched ceiling living room. That's a much larger room than any other, most likely, and the pitched ceiling will tend to hold heat... especially if it's near the kitchen with an open view.

For anyone who loves the Flavor and Vapor of a Dripper, but wants the Convenience of a Tank (like ME!), check this out . . .

EHPro Flash RDA Kit $89.99 at MadVapes. It's an RDA (Dripper) that can be converted to an RBA (Tank), just by changing the top section on the Deck. There's a video at the bottom of the MadVapes webpage that shows everything about it.
    large_flash_tank__19944.1402685320.500.750.jpg

This is an EHPro Clone of the Flash-e-Vapor V3 (or maybe the V2), a 114.90 Euro ($155.39) RDA/RBA Convertible. Except that the EHPro Kit seems to be more complete by my limited research. The $155.39 Flash-e-Vapor V3 only comes in Basic Unit models, with either a plastic or metal tube, and a list of options. The EHPro Flash RDA Kit includes a plastic tube and a metal tube, though the plastic tube isn't shown in this picture (you can see them both in the MadVapes video).

The only thing I see not mentioned in the EHPro Flash RDA Kit is that the original Flash-e-Vapor V3 comes with 3 different sized Airflow Screws (mentioned in a video in the link below - 1.1mm, 1.2mm, and 1.4mm Airflow holes), while the EHPro Flash RDA Kit doesn't mention more than one in the MadVapes video, except for spares. But on the MadVapes website (and others), it also says, Two Replacement Airflow Screws, so these may have different size air holes in them for different Airflow. I haven't watched other reviews to see.

I was curious, because EHPro makes Clones, and I found the original talked about here...
    http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...or-v2-rba-artur-schwarze-15.html#post11610024 An ECF link.

One downside to the Clone is that the MadVapes video says you must be very careful aligning the grove in either of the top sections to the alignment pin on the deck, because the pin (or post, as Mike calls it) could be snapped. I guess EHPro didn't use a Stainless Steel Pin there. One of the disadvantages of getting a Clone... cheaper parts used, but at the cheaper price, and avoiding 19% Sales Tax from Germany, the S&H fee from Germany, and Shipping time from Germany, the Clone is a good deal. And they can be found even cheaper at FastTech and Ailibaba if you're one to go that route. Maybe the next version will include a Glass Tube. However, this Flash-e-Vapor V3 (and Clone) is a major advancement, IMHO. A really great Dripper design that can accept a 5ml tank. And the Flash-e-Vapor V3 from Germany has an optional 9ml tube!
    :w00t:

Anyone who wants to get me an early Christmas Present can get me an EHPro Flash RDA Kit.
