I woke up and decided to get up. There are some things to do today, and I'm still trying to find a suitable aluminum box for Sun. I may pass out early tonight, or need a nap.

Good Morning, Beachers.
We got 2.2 inches of rain sometime in the middle of the night.
And I slept right through it! 8-o But was really happy to see that rain gauge this morning. Areas south of here got 5 inches....some Chicago burbs also got 3 and 4 inches with flooding being the main news story there this morning. We needed it badly, but they did not. 
Happy Sun is looking forward to getting some sleep this weekend.
We have a wedding rehearsal dinner tonight. Hubs is doing the cooking....we are not part of the wedding party, we are just the caterers. And then the wedding is tomorrow afternoon....her sister is the one who got married in the newly constructed machine shed last year, but this one is in a church. Hopefully air conditioned since it is supposed to be in the 90s.

Hey, Dale....I was looking at the August drought map of the U.S.....and your area was one of the greenest ones on the map....green meaning lots of rain for the year.
Yes....eating well, but it will be hot for hubs frying fish in their garage while they are at the rehearsal.
And he has already told me he would like me to help him. Hope they are prepared for a little sweat in the deep fryer.

Glad you got some rain. We did too. In fact it is still raining..............I would like it to stop!! Sure am hoping it will this afternoon.

Yeah....I see where it still is coming our way, then turning south. I think the Illinois river, which runs east west thru here, and then turns south about 10 miles west of us, has something to do with the precipitation splits we keep seeing. Happy the system last night came from the north, which got to us before it got to the river.
And hope you do dry out before this afternoon...maybe it will come and stay up here...we could still use some more.

I heard back from Takachi today; the manufacturer of the aluminum box I posted for Sun a while back.
Not to scale for the 5V Box mod.
This is it.
They were on Obon-Holiday, a Japanese Holiday similar to what the Chinese do this time of year. I wrote a few days ago and asked if they could alter the box design to a drawing I sent. They said No, but they offered to send me some samples of the box (he said "a few") in all Silver (no colored end caps). I asked if I could get them in all Black, because it would look more like the black plastic box that Sun has now. I'd have to pay S&H from Japan, so I asked for rates.
I thought this box wouldn't work and went looking for others, but could not find any that either Sun or I would want to have (we've discussed it). When Takachi offered samples, I figured "Why not?" and then I saw a way in my head that I might be able to make these work after all. Once I have one in my hands, I can see exactly what will need to be done, and it'll be nice to get more than one, in case I mess up.
