Tami GD is junior diabetic so it's going to be a long time before things reach the point of them getting back to it.

I work with a girl that is crazy about diving! She is unmarried/no kids so she goes on these 'cruises' where they dive for days at a time.

I think it would be fun except being in a tight, wet scuba suit for hours at a time would push me over the edge of sanity 8-o

I'd love to go down once just to see the colors in RL.

that will kill all travel for awhile for sure. Glad those years are in the past here. Now we just have old age and the limitations of old bodies, dang, there's just no way to win!

My dream trip:

Crazy! Those red snapper were dragging that kayak all around.

Aww, sorry to hear that, but they have time. I didn't get into kayaking until I was 50. We use to take the kids out fishing from the shore, but didn't even get our first boat until about 10 years ago when they were out and on their own.

I can see it not being good if you're claustrophobic, but I'd love it! :thumb:

Yeah they do, even the bass I hook into sometimes do. Even against the current in a river! The Kayak just glides over the water, and with no motor to put backward tension on the line, you go where the fish does until fish is tired or you get it close enough to get it in a net. LOL

Hubs and best friend took lessons and tried to get certified....then found out because of their fat butts, they had to wear so many of those thingies that make you buoyant, they kept floating back to the top. So they gave up on it. LOL...true story!!

I'm not really claustrophobic… no problems with elevators, tight spaces, etc. But I absolutely cannot tolerate constricting clothing. Even shopping for a bathing suit is traumatic for me. Been that way since I was a toddler

Oh I love baggy clothes. You could probably tell by the t-shirt I wore when we got together. It was just a couple sizes to big. :D

Even dresser close..........no tight fit!

Hey if they got in trouble, they'd float to the surface real easy.

Well I am claustrophobic, hate tight clothing, and it would take about 2 dozen of those thingies to make me buoyant, so I guess I am not a good candidate for diving.
