Still haven't left yet to get what we need for the windmill  DH and I have been watching a documentary on the Viet Nam war. Horrific, but interesting.

So, I am at least ready to go out now. Also on our agenda is buying a new microwave. I guess they don't last more than 10 years either! :glare:

We were trying to remember when we bought the water heater. Because of the water, they only last about ten years around here.

Off to pool........

Hello, Beach Babes and Buddies. :)

I'm here. Just happened to meet up with niece on the way so finished the ride with her. Got here and sister was exhausted and trying to sleep. No drink or food in house hardly so stole her keys and went to grocery. Have breakfast and lunch in here now. Poor souls, she and birthday brother had to go to the crematorium to finalize things. I know they are so worn out. I restlessly slept an hour but can't seem to get more right now. Getting ready to backread.

Hello, My Dear Heart.

So glad you made it safely.

Good morning Beach

Hello, Teacup.

Good morning! Raining steadily. It is hazy with fog and peaceful. Everyone is asleep.

I hope you got some sleep yourself!

th

Sun glad you made it there safely and nice you ran in a niece on your way. Take it easy (and that is for everyone) because the next few days will be stressful, and hopefully, filled with some great memories.

Today I start a detailed cleaning of the house. Fun fun. DD is coming and that means a lot of people running in and out. Don't want them to think I'm a slob. :D

Hello, JJ.

Afternoon beachmates :D I just woke up! :?:

Not much planned for today. I do have a small project DH and I are going to work on. My grandfather made several windmills out of old bicycle tires and I have one of them. I need to find some way to mount it and put it in my yard.

Sun, glad things are peaceful for you! Thinking of you, girl! (((hugs)))

Hello, Tink.

Sounds like a cool project, and a great memory of your grandfather. I'd like to see a picture when you're done, if you don't mind. :)

Hello, Beachers.

Well, did not win at the casino....between us hubs and I lost $90....but for that we got free concert tickets, free steak n shrimp dinners, and a free suite at the casino hotel and 7 hours gambling time. Not a bad trip. The concert was really good....I had forgotten how many great songs this band has....Cool Change is one of the best! Lots of people dancing in the aisles....psyched up by the great music.

Back reading done....happy to see Sun made it safely, sorry to read about Tink's air conditioner, happy jj's daughter is coming home...that is always a pleasure. And am especially glad VG has his Christmas list going already... And Dale's work is slow....which has its good points and bad points....the good one being she will be at the beach posting.

My daughter and family are coming home for 3 days next weekend, and eventually I will have to clean also, so I hear you, jj.

Now, I have to research and find a good auto brakes mechanic....I do not want to get into the rotors...my brakes are squealing so I do not care what the garage said, I am going to have them replaced...I am thinking they wanted me to wait so the bill would be gigantic.

Happy Saturday to everyone.

Hello, Glam.

Hey, if your brakes are squealing, maybe they just need a little grease. :pervy:

Good morning, Dale. I checked the price online....the brake pads themselves run about $200 for my car for both axles....they want $700 for a couple of hours work!! They must think I was born stupid.

We're all born stupid. Well, without really knowing anything, but I'm glad you aren't taking their line. A Dealership is almost always the most expensive place to get any auto work done. There's a small independent shop here that does excellent work and has an excellent reputation. For some reason, he also has the best prices for brake work and quite a few other things. He'll do the inspection and if the work isn't needed, he'll tell you. If only a minor adjustment is needed, he does it at a very reasonable charge. It's so nice to have an honest mechanic nearby. He knows that doing business this way brings happy customers back and gets him referrals. I hope you can find the same near you.
found you my friends :D

congratulation on the beach 8

Maybe write the date on the new one with a Marks-A-Lot on the top or somewhere and cover it with clear packing tape so it doesn't wipe off. :D

Happy peddling. :)

Good afternoon VG luv

Think we're going to the oldest GD's b-day party here soon :)

She's a "tween"

Sorry for the late reply. You may be gone already. I was writing an email to Sea. I think I messed up on the e-liquid Calculator for her last night. Being without a computer, she needed me to help with a high-Nic that she bought by mistake. She needed PG added and since I never do that for myself, I messed up. But I have it right this time. :D

I hope you enjoy the party! :)

Evening, Beachers.....I had to run an errand today....then I had to take a nap! I fell sound asleep for 45 minutes....one of those deep sleeps where you have weird dreams and then wake up not knowing who or where you are. Kinda like this lady.....

Dinner done, cleaned up, and I have been researching apps for people who have speech problems from left brain stroke.....there are tons of apps out there. I am so confused....why did her speech therapist not talk to us about these?

Hi Glam.

Speech Apps like the stuff I sent you? Have you looked into that one?

Why didn't her speech therapist talk to you about these? Maybe she didn't know about them.

Just got back from the steakhouse celebrating my mom's 74th with the family. Had a great meal with a beautiful piece of prime rib. I'm glad I'm not the patriarch of the family because pop picked up the whole bill. Even if I would have offered to kick in some $$, he wouldn't take it. I couldn't find a more recent photo of my mom (& dad), but here's one from 1.5 years ago at Christmas. This is what clean living and laughing (genes help.lol) can do for you. She's the life of a party... and without alcohol. I think it would be scary if she drank.lol
