Too see 'new posts' you can also click on "what's new" and then click on "my posts" from the little drop down area. It's on the tool bar right under 'forum'

I know that too.....but it is an extra step....I have always just left the beach thread open and watched the "likes" . I am spoiled by the way it was....I might change it back...but I think they will get the kinks worked out.

Good afternoon, jj and VG......yes I use Chrome, and lots of differences in the forum....one thing for me tho, is my likes are not showing so I have no way of seeing if you guys are posting....that is how I always knew...I watched for likes to show up. Of course, if you do not "like" what I post, I still wouldn't know you are here. :)

I think they are supposed to show up, so it must be a kink they are trying to work out.

Been putting out some yard ornaments, watering, a little cleaning....nothing that I have to do, so I am working at my usual pace. Like this lady.

 Glam...I just went to the bottom of the page and changed it back to the old view. Yeah...I didn't like the "new" view. :glare:

Really? That's weird. Must be a glitch.

Likes went from 1 to 7 when I changed it back. I think the new system is just slow. Don't they always release things on the computer before they are completely ready? I know hubs' home office is always releasing new programs that are not quite ready....but they release them anyway, glitches and all. :?:

Could be because of this Forum wide Notice:

A maintenance task is about to run that will cause an offline or slowdown just for a few seconds [we hope :) ]

Make sure to copy your text before posting, for the next few minutes, until the maintenance is done. Thanks.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Sorry to disappear....today is daughter's birthday...and she called to remind me. Like I could ever forget birthing a baby...no matter how many years ago!! I reminded her I bought her a pair of $130 tennis shoes last week, that was enough!

Seriously, she knew I was going to call this evening....she just wanted to blow me some crappola.

 And the sad part is...that's middle of the road price for the kinds of athletic shoes kids wear.

What happened to just a pair of good ole Converse "Chuck Taylor" All stars? And even they cost $50.00 now. :glare:

And you walked to school every day...5 miles uphill, and took a brown paper sack lunch with a potato in it and put that potato on the pot bellied stove in the one room classroom, and had a baked potato for lunch. Right? And you had two pairs of jeans and had to wash out a pair every night so that you would have clean pants for school the next day. Right?

My mom used to tell me those kinds of stories too.
