If you will tell me the make and model, usually listed on the back on a sticker, I'll look it up for you.

Well, I tried to find the make and model....but I did not know which of the several numbers on the sticker was the right one. It is an ASUS Model K55A RBR6 and whatever keyboard that comes with that. I can look and see if I see my keyboard with searching my computer.

See the esc key in the upper left? Next to that is ƒ1 (F1), then ƒ2, ƒ3, etc. You would hold ƒn, press ƒ5, then release both.

LOL....went and got my super bright flashlight....and lo! those are little "f"s next to those numbers. With my eyesight, those looked like ones. LOL....sorry my old eyes were looking for "F"s.....and the little suckers are tiny to boot. I still cannot tell they are "f"s without that flashlight.

Forgive the Polish part of my brain.....sorry to waste your time.:blush::blush:

That is a very typical laptop keyboard, with some labels I haven't seen. But their functions are in your manual.

I have a manual? I haven't seen that....ever. I am sure hubs has it with all the paperwork in his office. That is where he keeps all records. I might be worse than a man when it comes to reading instructions. :D I did not know I was going to find a forum and actually might use some of the weird keys. :?:

The manual is on an ASUS CD that came with the laptop. It might be in an ASUS folder under All Programs, too. :)

Now that you know about it, all you need is ƒn and look for the 5 up there. :toast:

Yes.....thank you very much. And tomorrow I will reread this and see how to actually use them....per your informative posts. :)

Meanwhile, I will drag my old bad eyes, and old wrinkled derriere off to bed. See you tomorrow, thanks again!:wub::wub::wub::wub:

Good night, VG, lurkers, guests, and Tink if she has time to pop in. :)
