Hummm, so what's everyone been up to today?
Hello, Dearest, and welcome home.
The computer I've been working on had a bad hard drive, and Dell sent a replacement with Windows 7 installed, but it came with Internet Explorer 11 on it, and the customer needs to have Internet Explorer 10 for now, for compatibility with a site they frequent. I couldn't revert back to 10 from 11, so I called Dell Tech Support. They took over the PC and couldn't do it, either. So now I have to format and start over with a DVD that I have.
The Image they used was all recent stuff, and had to be according to Microsoft, because the PC is 2.5 years old and they didn't have the original Image to put on it for me. 
So now I have to rush to get this PC ready for Monday.I hope your day has been good.

I've tried to take it easy as possible expecting this evening at wild wings drinking beer and watching UFC & the world series to be quite exhausting. I have been partially successful is resting poor pepper's body and mind; however, I did just make it back from the gym after a semi-easy workout. Just knowing that someone was interested in knowing what I was doing has put my mind at rest, just a little, and will result in me being able to drink more beer tonight. thanks, dale. you're the best.

It depends. When I'm onsite, it's by the hour, though I do give breaks at times. When working on something in-shop, it varies by the job. Some things have a set price, no matter how long it takes me. Sometimes it has to be kinda prorated by the job. When I have to start over like this, I don't feel like that's the customer's fault, but in this case, I will charge for some of that time. So it works out.

The last I had was at a restaurant and it was pretty nasty. Catfish is one of those foods that need a certain finesse. I went there with a friend and it was my first time, but I won't be going back.

I am doing both.
I use a box called a KVM, which allows me to share a Keyboard, Monitor (Video), and Mouse between up to 4 different PCs with the one I have. I can switch back and forth between any computers that are connected. I switch to my PC to get here, then switch back to the in-shop PC to work on it. The part I hate most about having to do what I did is having to get all the Windows Updates, pretty much from scratch. They take hours and hours because there are so many of them going back that far. But it's working and getting them now.
That's good honI am doing both.
I'm chilling with a book tonight, my back is hurting quite a bit and I feel the need for a softer place to sit for a while
