Yeah, big cities can be like that, especially at rush hour. 8-o

We must have hit then!!!

Gonna scoot on out of here. Read, play the games if anyone is about. Generally relax so I can get to bed soon so I'm up and going. I would love to get home tomorrow. No more traveling....well until around Thanksgiving anyway.

Night VG and all beach peeps. :)

VG!!!!!!

Were you gone?

Glad you had a nice visit. Sorry no trick or treaters. Seems a lot of towns are going the mall or downtown business route.....early treating for the kids, keeps them off the streets at night..or just in their own neighborhoods. Gone are the days of yore.....when we hit up the whole town, switching door mats, tpeeing peoples trees, soaping their windows. Kids nowadays do not know what they are missing!!

They live in the country on a small two-lane highway where the houses that celebrate are kinda few and far between. They think the kids are going to "group" places, kinda like you said. But I'd bet there are still some Hell Raisers!

We used to think we were so cool.....no real damage, just enough orneriness to think we were really cool and funny.

Thought I was going to have to call you when my computer shut itself down. I think I did it when I tried to plug my ecig usb charger into the wrong hole....that is when it happened. But no lasting damage....they could find nothing wrong with it. But it would not turn on for me.

I read that post of yours. It's weird how that happened. Sorry you had to go through it. I have told people to remove and replace the battery, but I don't know if I would have thought of that in this case. I'm glad you got it back without any damage to it. From now on, I'd use a wallwort USB Charger - one that plugs into AC Power. If the USB Port on your laptop caused it, then using it again like that might really damage something.

Well, stupid me was trying to plug it in right before bed.....and I was really tired. Up late talking with sis, and I tried to plug it into a small opening that was not a usb port....and I think I even had it backwards..trying to plug in the wrong end. The computer shut itself down immediately, and I know I did it.....but will do the battery thing if it ever does that again. The computer store said all they did was take the battery out and put it back in. It was not on battery when it happened, but I had just been using the battery and had just plugged it back into AC....and it was operating fine until the usb fiasco.

In that case, compare the insides of all the USB Plugs on the laptop, to make sure that they all look exactly the same. Get a flashlight and shine it inside so you can see. The one you plugged something into upside down may be broken inside. You can't usually plug something in upside down without breaking something. That would have caused the short that turned it Off. In a big way, you were quite lucky there was no further damage.
