Love/Hate relationship with most NET's- why do they have to be so dirty?

There are so many fine NET's available these days- many of them are really, really good- when you take the first 40-50 hits . My frustration with NET's: I find a juice I just adore; I vape it for half a day and it and it tastes just like an ashtray. I strictly use rba's, so having NET's gunk up my coils and wicks isn't a big deal; I can change them out quickly, but the taste!!!!! I've tried a bunch of new NET's- based on how well you all like them and your recomendations. Most start off very good, but in a short amount of time- NASTY. Then... this feeling comes over me like I've wasted yet additional hard earned money!

I find Ahlusion to be the cleanest of NET's. I won't bash other vendors, nor is this what my post is about. I've experimented with NET's: I've reduced the watts, I've steeped, I've strained, but I still struggle with this. Maybe NET's aren't for me???

I like NETs from Ahlusion, HHV, and MOV. I change my coils perhaps every 20 mls with HHV NETs, about every 10 (sometimes less) with MOV NETs. Still determining the right swap point with Ahlusion, but it looks about like HHV.

So I do experience what you are, just not nearly as fast.

I wonder if additional filtering would help. I'm assuming the reason for this "ashtray taste" are macerated solids collecting on the wick/coils??? Maybe filtering to eliminate finer particles would help? I just wonder if it would throw the taste off...

Not exactly what u are talking about but I feel your pain,I don't RBA and really like NETS but just not worth the short life on equipment for me...I still keep them around but only drip with them now.

Only NET's that does'nt effect my equipment fairly quickly is HHV.Now I've used GeJ,MOV,MyVapeJ,Vaperite and while some of these are fairly clean still not worth it to use in my equipment for me.I saw on Natural tob thread a new vendor is opening soon only selling NET'S I believe wonder how clean theirs will be.

I use a Cisco 510 and just dry burn. If you're using cotton wick ignore my advice.
