Hey all,

New member, looks like a good forum. I''m fairly new to ecigs. I bought a Chinese junk one a few years ago from dealextreme to try, but I hardly used it. Just a few months ago I got an njoy King. These are GREAT, but I burn through them. I've bought about 30 of them so far, and I just cannot afford to keep it up so I'm looking into rechargeable systems. I like a small case, and something that can last a day. Is there a reasonably priced system that you all can recommend? I'm not really convinced on the refilling either, because I really like the no fuss pick it up and smoke it. tank systems? I'm overwhelmed. Local store sells 21st century smokes which look to be a good price (how long does a cartridge last?)

I really appreciate the help.
Thanks!

for disposables these tasted good to me:
Free Trial (Plus Shipping)
but they dont last long at all (for me)! (first order of them is only $5 with shipping, so you can try it)

the best way to save money is refilling

you can check out things like the eroll if you want that small form factor but they do need to be refilled

another company: NextSmoke- Electronic Cigarettes and Smoking Alternatives
has those small cig-a-likes, you charge the battery, and just replace the 'filter' (cartomizer)
cartomizers are sold separately in 5 packs i think, they come pre filled so, less worry

the smaller the device, the less 'vapor' it can hold. and the shorter the battery will last

It really is all about finding the middle point for each person

How much people use, is all in the person, some people use less then 1ml a day (cartomizers hold about 1ml), others use over 10mls
i use about 3ml a day, but i have a huge device

more people will be along to give more tips and ideas for you

Hi theangler, if you want to keep the cost low the key is to refill you cartos and use a rechargable battery. Here is a couple sites with inexpensive 510 starter kits..
Cheapest Ecig Starter Kit| Beginners e-cig
https://www.cignot.com/product_p/kit-510-nbx.htm
http://www.ecigsdiscount.com/Joye-510-Starter-Kit-White-Cartomizer-180-mAh_p_251.html

These kits are about the same size as the Njoy and have refillable cartos. Refilling the cartos is super simple and bring the cost factor way down.

You guys have now convinced me in refilling. Can you just refill the cartridges forever? Do the rechargeable batteries last a long time? How do you guys carry? 2 on you for when one dies? Does a refilled cart last all day? (or I guess I should ask how many ML it holds)

Hi there - unfortunately, you're not going to find a little cigarette-sized battery that will last all day, unless you vape very, VERY lightly. They just aren't big enough to have the electronics. I'm not sure about the availability of NJoy accessories, but there are cig-a-likes available that use a PCC (A A Personal Charging Case), which is a device about the size of a pack of cigarettes that hold a longer charge and you take with you. You can put your little cig-a-like into it and charge on the fly.

Thanks KraKsX, good tips. I can smoke about 2 of those NJOY Kings in a day. So maybe like you 3ml? I guess super small size is more of a desire then necessity for me. If I could find one with a battery that lasts about a day, can you use both pre-filled cartridges and fill it yourself cartridges on the same ecig?

(two NJOY a day, THATS EXPENSIVE!)
Sounds like an eGo battery to me. Can use any 510 cartomizer, prefilled, or ones you fill, some pre filled can even be refilled
eGos come in all heights and are about the same diameter as many thinner cigars.

Carto/tanks (cartomizers with a outside piece that now holds even more juice) is a way to go
T3 clearomizers, EVODs, CE4s, are great on eGo batteries, and give you enough juice to last 'all day'

lets stay with the eGo
They last a few months, lets say up to six months tops before needing replacement (charging every day)
cartomizers last a couple days to two weeks (being filled as needed) (cant be cleaned easily) before needing replacement

you can carry two, if you get the right size for you, you will find out how long it last you, some people only carry one, or keep one ready to go at work, in car, ect

almost all cartomizers alone hold about 1 ml of liquid
thats why you might want to check into clearomizers that hold up to 3ml, like the T3

How long a carto lasts depends on your vaping style. You drip liquid into it periodically, to keep the wick wet (otherwise it will dry out and fry). I use little Green Smart Living cig-a-likes sometimes when I got out. I carry a few of the cartos they came with, which I've popped the top off of and filled with my own juice. I've noticed the "gas stations" kind get dried out long before the coil actually burns, which they don't bother to tell people (I imagine so you buy more of their products).

I refill the carts, but I prefer putting CE3 XLs (aka "Phoenix Bottom Coils") or Nanos on the little cigs. They hold more liquid and are easy to fill. About five will fit in an average-sized medicine bottom (or three + two cig batteries in my antique cigarette case.

I apologize! I'm typing too slowly to keep up today. I didn't realizes the thread had ventured into eGo land. Just ignore me...

Ok. you are open to refilling, we have something to start with. First, as an experiment, take one of you deceased Njoys. See if you can pop off one of the white endcaps (some cartos you cannot, but most you can). When you look inside you will see some fiber batting with a hole in the middle. That is the guts of your carto. The batting holds the liquid to be vaporized, pretty simple. E-liquid is usually sold in eyedropper bottles. You would just squeeze a couple drops onto the filler material (try not to get in the hole in the middle). Presto, you not have a freshly filled carto for about 10 cents. Much less expensive. The Njoy batteries look to be 180mah style batteries. They would last about 1 hour of heavy vaping. The 510 style batteries have the same time span so you would need a couple to get through the day. You can get 280mah batteries that are a bit longer than the 180mah version. Over time you can slowly and inexpensively upgrade. There are 510 style batteries that last all day.

lets give you an idea of things:

you would be looking at the batteries on the left side, those black round ones are eGos (batteries are the back row)
all the things in the front row hold eliquid (the nic juice) and fit on eGos the smallest in the pic holds 1.6ml and the biggest holds 5ml

as you can see, MANY different things to pic from (and thats not even a quarter of whats out there to buy)

most egos are 510 (yes thread) and eGo (the outside thread)
510's are also what people call some of the cig-a-like style batteries with 510 connectors
*we understand where confusion can set in*

T3s are nice and when they need replacing, you only need to replace the wick (small piece inside the T3)
CE3s are harder to fill (great device though) you need a needle to fill these
Yes clearos last much longer, because you can clean them (recommended once a week) some can last over a month

Yes, all you really need (to start) is:
2 ego batteries
1 charger
a hand full of 'delivery devices' clearomizer/ cartomizers (pick a few of each and see what you like)
and some good eliquid

you found a great community here, people love to help others out, help them get started, help them stay away from smoking

Oh yeah, can anyone suggest a strong tobacco tasting menthol juice?

start with 24mg strength (you might want less, or maybe need 36mg)
dont buy to much eliquid at once, start with a few small sizes to see what you like best.

i will say buy eLiquid made in the USA

some of my fav juice vendors (in no order)
thevaporroom.net
mtbakervapor.com
fuzionvapor.com

taste is 'subjective'... and since i dont vape those flavors anymore, its hard to say, i was a NewPort smoker

also read this: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-library/337017-inhalation-technique-e-cigarette.html
vaping is different then smoking when taking your pull

Thanks a lot for all the help so far guys. Sounds like I need to get myself a couple of eGo 510 batteries (510 is the thread size?), and maybe a couple of T3 or CE3 clearomizers along with some liquid (and a charger). That would give me two full sets right? Do the T3 / CE3 last a long time or same as cartos?

Yes. Or better yet, get a couple of eGo-C Twists (or Vision Spinners) because they offer variable voltage, which is an extremely useful feature. T3 or eVod is a nice choice, You may also try an eGo CC clearomizer (top coil). As long as it comes with a changeable coil, bottom or top, it's a good thing--easy maintenance.

And yes, those eNjoy Kings are very nice. I'm waiting for nJoy to lower the price to 2 or 3 bucks apiece. ;)

Good luck!
