Love the post office

So my package was shipped really fast from v4l. The post office sent to elk grove to Chicago and back to elk grove. How efficient.

I had a package a few weeks ago that spent 4 days traveling in circles in New Jersey. Yup, Gotta love them.

And yet, my packages almost always make it from Elk Grove to my small town PO here in BF, WV in 2 days. Now that I've said that, it will start taking a week or more.

If it makes you feel better, I can say that my numerous orders from V4L have only been FUBARed by the USPS on one single occasion. Here's to hoping you get yours soon, and better luck on all subsequent orders!

I have never understood their rational....I have packages go past my state to PA just to come back here....or they will go south to come back north again.....

All I know is I DO NOT want to sign up for their GPS service.....

One of mine went way north..Florida is South guys! But that was the only time..I contacted my P.O. and threaten to call daily!

I have had it post at Elk and stay for a couple of days..then it's here on the third day! UInless someone scans it at each place along the way..you don't get updates!

It's not really a tracking number - it's really for delivery confirmation. Did you get a different result by putting the tracking number into the USPS website? I've only had it take a week once (a USPS screw up - IL to FL via CO) and five days during the blizzards. The first day you "ship" something it's just received electronically into the shipping system, but not yet physically received by them (USPS, UPS & FedEx all do that). To pay for tracking instead of just delivery confirmation for 30 orders is just not cost effective to me.
