First of all, thanks to everyone that actively participates on this board to answer questions. I never needed to register an account because all my questions have been thoroughly answered. I wanted to register an account so I could say how happy I am that I found this site.

I've known about these e-cigs for a while but never cared to investigate further until i started reading more press about them. I really want to quit smoking but I admit that I enjoy it too much to really give it up. I can never manage to go more than a week on a quit attempt before I'm around my smoking friends bumming cigs again, which always leads to the purchase of a pack to breathe life back into my habit.

Hi and welcome.
That is the beauty of ecigs.....you are only giving up all the other chemicals that big companies put in the tobacco. As long as you order a high enuff nic content in your ejuice(to keep cravings aways) very little about the addiction changes.....sure there is a learning curve using ecigs and it is not as easy as running to the store for a pack...but the health benefits are well worth it. You still have the hand to mouth action, the vapor produced similates the smoke, and the nic is satisified......what's not to love about ecigs.....
Many of us tried it all to quit also,,,,,I smoke analogs for over 40 years and tried it all---more than once.....Ecigs are the ONLY thing that worked for me....
good luck
:)

I totally agree with Sugar and Spice's post...I've been smoking analogs for years and thought I could never give them up because of both the physical and psychological addiction...ecigs take care of both those issues with satisfying the nicotine cravings, the hand-to-mouth action, and the vapor production...as she said, what's not to like? :) Welcome to the forums and good luck to you when you take the first step toward leaving analogs in the past!

I am in the process switching to ecigs too- after thirty years of analogs! Down to 2 a day. Only vaping for 2 weeks and just ordered a supply of ejuice and flavorings to mix. I think when I have some juices I really like, I'll be set to leave the nasty analogs behind. This forum has been fantastic. I have never before smoked so little without turning into a nervous monster!

Hi!

I smoked for 30 years and I loved cigarettes. Switching was the easiest thing I've ever done - I've had more difficulty switching soda brands. My only struggle was worrying about having everything I needed all the time, and now I've gotten that under control. The commitment level was a lot higher for me than cigarettes, because I knew, no matter what, I could get a pack of cigarettes 24/7.

You can do it!

Same here. 20 yrs of enjoying smoking and what broke it for me was getting the worry out of the way. 6 weeks without lighting up and I haven't felt the need to lately. It's definitely changing my life for the better. Good luck, kiria4u!

Welcome aboard, I was also a long time lurker before registering. I never had to ask any questions before My first purchase all the questions I had were already asked and there were many informative answers posted already. The kind and generous people particularly of the New Members Forum made it so easy for me to find all that I needed before and after my first purchase and I am greatly thankful for all the time the helpers put into supporting curious and troubled newbies.

Well, I've been a lurker and learner for a few weeks, in the attempt to get my husband (and 8 yr analog pall mall smoker who picked it up when his mom died) and myself (an on again off again analog menthol smoker for 16yrs) to hopefully end smoking analogs and reduce costs over time, and improve health at the same time...I'm asthmatic so smoking doesn't help it. I have to say I too love this forum as I've learned so much it's helped me convince my husband to at least try a disposable e-cig along with me to make our decision final or not.

We picked up a couple of disposable "Envy" E-cigs @ the local convenience store, I figure 12 bux for a disposable to make sure it's something we want to invest in isn't bad. I can say that I've been puffing on mine for 6 hrs now and it's not bad at all, a bit stronger on the menthol than i expected, but loving the lack of burning paper taste to it, the cool refreshing mintiness is nice! My husband says he's enjoying not having the "burn loss" he gets from starting an analog and putting it in the ashtray and it going out and such, as well as convenience of popping his in his pocket and taking off to the store without having to finish or put it out, and he doesn't seem to be nic-fitting as bad as he was when he started trying to stop smoking 2 weeks ago and was unsuccessful in cold-turkey methods. He seems to be enjoying it!! So YAY!!!!

This site has been a boon in guiding me in the attempt to find ones we'll both like and enjoy. He says he's looking forward to getting other e-juices (He wants to try waffle of all flavors!!) and actually ordering our full starter kits, so so much the better! I think this site, it's knowledge, and it's friendly members has been wonderful, just in reading and now that I'm signed up and actually a newbie member I look forward to making new friends and sharing vaping experiences!

So HI! and Thanks for all the help and info that's let me persuade my husband to try this to move forward and quit the nasty analog habit! I look forward to participating more!

**planning on ordering some 510 kits and juices, just not sure where from yet...and with luck might make a mass order because now I've got 2 maybe 3 others aside from hubby interested!! Hubby has talked non stop for the past couple of hours and even said he'd be interested in finding out about DIY e-juice and distribution....wow...not sure i'm ready for that leap!!! (sorry for the small book!)
