I've had my Blu Cig for alittle over a week now and I'm loving it. I've experienced none of the problems that other say they have had. I ordered the starter kit (with $20.00 off coupon) and some extra menthol cartomizers. I then made two other orders for an extra battery and some more cartomizers in the other flavors. Granted I shelled out alittle over $100.00 on the blu website but with this last shipment of carto's they threw in a complete starter kit for FREE. I love the cool design, the pcc, and the great flavors and ease of using a cartomizer. The short battery charge is the only draw back but that can be easily fixed by ordering an extra battery or two. I know have 5. I'm also trying some of the flavors from the volcano site. They don't seem as strong as the blu cartos but they are pretty good.

The big thing that kills me is the smugness of others on this site when you mention Blu. I don't get the hate. Some people just can't understand that a lot of us don't want some huge weird looking contraption to vap with. I may purchase other e cigs in the future for other forms of vaping but for now and the forseeable future the blu is my go to e cig.

I love my Blu. It was my first.... ha! anyways, I still use it today not all the time but alot. When smokers who are hwll bent on the cig size , I let them use it with cartomizers. I have good memories of my blu. There are many people that ordered it and did not find it satisfying because they were heavy smokers. I used it for 4 mos and then moved onto a larger cig. I am now enjoying my small cigs again. If the Blu works for you then keep using it. You determine what makes you happy and satisfied. You can also buy blank cartomizers and fill them yourself. Look at 306 cartomizers from electronicstix.com or eliquidplanet.com . You are really lucky a $20. coupon and a free starter kit, wow. Good Luck and I hope you continue to enjoy your purchase.

I started out with a Blu a little over a year ago. I liked it a lot at first (this was back when it was a 3 piece). The problem that I had was that the carts didn't last very long (I was blowing through like 4 a day, sometimes more). It worked for a while but it definitely could not replace smoking for me. I eventually just used it when I ran out of cigarettes. Before I started getting into vaping again, I bought the cartos. They were even worse, to me. They didn't last long at all and many of them were DOA. I had no way to refill them (that I knew of) and they just seemed like such a waste.

Then I found this site and everyone recommended the Joye 510. After reading about it, it didn't seem like much more work than the blu (you can buy a PCC for it) and the manual button was a huge selling point for me. Once I got it, I never looked back. It took me a while to fully quit the cigs, but now I have an entire vaping stash, tons of liquids, parts and an Ego-T system. Sure, it seems like a lot of work and hassle, but I actually enjoy it. The set up and equipment I have allow me to go days without doing any sort of filling, maintenance or charging and anything I do have to do is just a few minutes time every few days. Much better than having to jump in my car and pay $6 for a pack of smokes when I run out. Plus, it TASTES so much better.

So anyway, I can see why there are Blu haters, it's definitely a low-level system that isn't going to work for most heavy smokers (I was a pack a day) and can be quite a bit more pricey than some of the other stuff out there. However, I will say it's a very nice looking device (as is the case) and if it works for you, congrats! There are just as many people who rail against my $80 Ego-T system, but I LOVE it.

I cant say enough good things about BLu' The PCC is as far as I can tell the best one out there. Everything I order shows up quick and in good shape. For me it was a smooth transition from analog albeit I had it in my mouth all day and sould have started with a higher Nic content, but the two Batteries helped with that. Im glad I bought in after they switched to carto's this made things realy easy too. I have to say as much as I enjoy this forum im glad I found my Blu's first or I might have been disuaded. Blu is a great entry into vaping/transitional tool IMHO. Entry being the key word. After 20 days (and finding this forum) I wanted more and bought a big batery PV. The 'Blue bashing' is BS not every one wants to get all tech-e and hear about 501 vs. this and that when transitioning ( I did but Im not everyone) from analog's thats the kind of thing that turns people off or chases them to some mall ... ok soapbox off.

Blu has been really great for me, never had any problems with them and the starter kit is pretty reasonable too.

Here in the uk they are called SkYcig but otherwise identical to the BLU. I gotta be honest, I owe a lot to my SkYcig. It got me off the death sticks properly (had a really tiny little thing before called a halo+ it's like the thinest and smallest ecig you've ever seen and well, not very good). I like the PCC and that there's two cigs with the kit. I like their flavours in their carts also (for my money their Malboro even at 12mg is still one of the best analogue tasting vapes out there).

But, if you smoked a lot like I did at over 20 a day, and really do use your blu/sky they do start to show their weakness. The standard carts (not yet tried the cartomisers only just come out here in the uk) really don't last at all. The batteries also have a poor life spam after heavy use and couldn't keep up with me. I've also had two melt and leak an entire cart over themselves and my PCC whilst actually in the PCC designed to hold them...

Never had an atty die or a burnt taste with them though. And whilst I can't speak for BLU as a company, SkYcig customer support has been second to none for me. They replaced my dead batteries with no question. They ship fast and securely, package their stuff really well and today have said they'll ship me out 5 new cartomisers just for being on their Facebook page. For me that's really pretty good of them. Along with my 510 I still take my SkY with me everywhere, just vape it a little less these days.

I,as many others did, started with a Blu kit. The draw backs for me was the short battery and cart/carto life. I actually figured out how to rejuice the cartos and used that for a bit. I also found that the Boge standard 510 cartos work well on the Blu.
Now, I have 5 Joye type 510s and a 2 eGos. The Blu kit went to my son in law. He has cut his analog habit in half with it.
As an aside, I went from 30 analogs a day down to 3. Maybe there are no analogs in my future.
If the Blu works for you, good on you!!!

I was a pack to a pack and a half a day smoker and I love my Blu. My mother smoked about two packs a day and she's happy with Blu. I use my blue heavily and I have an extra battery. Blu isn't for everyone. No product will make everyone happy. It works for me. I stopped using analogs about three days after getting Blu. About a month after I stopped the analogs, I neglected to reorder my supplies (and hadn't yet found a local supplier for juice), I picked up a pack of analogs and immediately disliked it. ^_^ I now make sure I have spare factory filled carts, my regular juice, and "back up" juice. LOL No more running out for me!

I'd to like to chime in here about Blu...

I basically quit cold turkey and then at the 6 month mark decided to try the e-cig because I felt like I needed some "tools" to fall back on as I was having a really tough time. Blu was my first e-cig that I tried and I was blown out of the water by it...first of all it really worked! All those vids online (not just Blu but any e-cig) was actually real and not fake...I was so excited! But seriously, I get mad vape from Blu (always have), my biggest complaint is the battery life between charges is awful although now they have the 100 batteries which are suppose to be like 200 something mah which is pretty good and their customer service is really crappy, but in my opinion I think their product is great!

After finding this site I did find myself falling into the trap many others do...buying stuff from all these vendors out there (kits, juices, etc) and before I knew it I had like 1,000 worth of stuff in a fishing box and was like damn...how the hell did I get all this crap? And honestly I have to say, even with the big kits I have I always prefer Blu over any of them...they are just to simple, no mess/fuss and they give me what I need.

My mottos is if it works for you who cares what others think, let them use what they like but I think the bashing is a bit ridiculous and uncalled for. They do need to brush up on their customer service and I'd like to see them add things like manual batteries and fixing their awful sensitivity issues with batteries engaging by just walking across the rooom but other than that I really think it's a great product!

Hey I totally agree with you. I bought my blu exactly 7 days after I tried one...and after going through 4 of their disposables...I immediately liked it better than analogs.

I'm looking to "upgrade" (try new things) now, but mostly because that's my personality with technology...and for the wind issues-but for the price (50) and availbility (walgreens now) I don't think I would have gotten anything else for my first pv if I got to do it over again.

I'm using the new Blu Premium 100. I haven't had any problems with the batteries or the charging pack/case. I love the convenience and the flavors.

I think part of the dislike of Blu in the past was because the standard batteries were only 80mAH which is inadequate. If you can't keep the thing charged then it's not very convenient.

The new Premium100 batteries are 226mAH. And because they only take about 40 minutes to charge in the pack/case, I have yet to ever come close to not having a fully charged replacement battery when the current one being used runs out. In fact, I have yet to go through two batteries in a full day.:vapor:

That might change this next weekend when I go to Vegas for some fun with the boys:2cool:

Also, the personal carrying case/pack for the Premium100 kit is supposed to have better technology to allow for smart charging of the batteries (turns off the charging feature when batteries are fully charged).

I'll be sure to report back if I have any problems with my blu premium100 kit.

Hi Jwtaylor, in my opinion its not hate for the blu, it was not being able to stick with it, If you like it congrats..I started with the blu a couple years ago it and within a couple days was back to smoking..I spent allot of money thinking that the blu was the best out there and it did not satisfy or last very long at all...So in my mind e-cigs just was not the way to go, a year later I looked back into it and found the ego kits..I'm glad you like it!!

So, are the blu and the 306 compatible? Can you use a 306 atty on a blu battery?

Yes, any 2.5-2.8 ohm 306 or 510 atty or carto should work well. A 306 is the same thread pitch and size but I have read from several sources that the spacing on the contact is slightly different and they might be hit or miss on functioning, solution as a battery thread saver and juice leak protection you can use a 510 shorty spacer between the carto/atty and the battery which also helps make up for differences in contact tolerences. I got on madvapes and what started out as small scale experimentation turned into full scale research. How it started was only getting one set of refills besides what came with my 510 starter kit, waiting too long to order more and some juice to refill my empties....I was out, jonesing and having only been off the stink sticks for a little over a week needed relief. Walgreens down the street carries blu carto packs and 5 min of googling and of course ending up here(ECF) repeatedly I figure out i can use these on my 510 and I am very happy with the cartos, except for the one leaky vanilla in each the 3 packs I bought. they are tasty tho.

I started this thread a year ago. It got brought back to my attention by a like and a notification. I read back through it and thought it would be good to do an update.
Well in the last year I have purchased other kits. I own a standard joye 510 kit with pcc and I also have a Halo G6 808 kit. More importantly I still own and heavily use my Blu Cig. The joye 510 collects dust and I need to give it to one of my friends or something. I do use the Halo G6 around the house and I take it to work with me on occasion. I use the Blu cig when I'm going out and need something easy to use.
I 've purchased juice from about 15 different online vendors and have tried a ton of flavors and none beat the flavor of the Johnson Creek Blu cartos. Walgreens actually carries Blu cartos now. They are expensive but very convient if your out and in a jam. My Blu pcc's have held up well even though the white one shows dirt to easily. I actually altered one to hold two batteries with the carto screwed on. So it will charge one, hold 5 cartos and two fully assemblied cigs. I do have a battery that doesn't hold a charge to good as well but I own 6 batteries and they are a year old, so I would say thats pretty good.
My Halo G6 kit is awesome and I use it quite often. The vapor and 3 hour batteries are great but I'm pretty sure I will always vape with my blu cig as long as it holds up to some extent. The battery life between charges on a Blu is the biggest complaint but thats easily countered with extra batteries. It boils down to personal preference.
I will buy other kits in the future as I already have but thats more because I like trying new things and vaping has become somewhat of a hobby for me. The Blu isnt for everyone but it gets unfairly criticized by some. I was a pack to a pack and a half a day smoker and it helped me quit. I'm still enjoying mine after a year.
