I just got my fasttech Kayfun 3.1ES clone (sku 163.300) today.

Built a 30g Kanthal coil (7 wraps on a 5/32 drill bit, microcoil) came out at 1.3 ohms and wicked it with cotton.

Dissasembled and washed the Kayfun out well with a little bit of dish liquid and gave it a quick boil, rinsed it and blew it dry with compressed air.

Vapes great at 8.5 watts!
Tastes fantastic! Like dripping but its a tank! Yay!

Very happy with my $25 purchase.
The threads are nice, machining looks good. Seems to work great!
I was kind of worried about a fasttech clone, wondering if it was going to be lacking. Its not!

Yay!

I have not figured out how to fill it with the supplied needle tip bottle however. Don't know what I am doing wrong. how does that valve work?

Filled from the top, worked out fine I suppose.

Mine only works with a plastic tip needle. I couldn't get the metal one to work and I was concerned I'd push it in too far and cause damage. The plastic can only go in so far due to the taper of the needle.
I hold the device upside down over a paper towel (in case of a stray drip), have a 5ml syringe with plastic tip filled and ready, gently push the tip into the fill hole, and slowly start to "inject" the juice. If you have the clear or frosted center tube, you will be able to see the juice going in. Make sure not to completely fill the device. Leave some "breathing room". I think it helps with the vacuum. When I did not leave some space, I got dry hits.
Hope this helps. Once I learned how to use the fill valve, I absolutely love the device. I hated constantly having to take the top off and it was more messy. Plus, you get more juice in using the fill valve!! :vapor:

Did you receive a drip tip adapter with that one?

I recently bought sku#1494700. While I'm pleased with it for what it is, it didn't come with any extras like the adapter, spare o-rings, or SS middle tank section.

It did come with the fill bottle, SS ring, screwdriver and spare o-rings.

I have read that a plastic tip should be used, funny it came with a steel needle tip that totally doesnt work.

Top filling seems to produce a drip out of the fill valve when done but it doesnt leak once back upright and in use.

I will try to find a plastic tipped bottle to use i suppose.

So it didn't come with a 510 drip tip adapter then?

It is not pictured to include one on Fasttech, but some of the discussions there indicated it included one.

I found my plastic tip on eBay. Think the seller was CML. Got 100 mixed dispensing tips...included metal and plastic of differing sizes. The pinkish one is the one that fits best. For the price it was one of the best deals I've come across... able to use the metal ones for juice making, other plastic ones for dispensing solder flux, glue, etc. They all are luer lock, btw.
Hope this helps.......

Go Bucks!!! :D

Oh, yes it did! I forgot to list that. It was pre installed and the standard kayfun style tip was loose in the box.
My bad, the whole point of that was to say that it supprised me also as I went ahead and ordered the parts kit from them that included the drip tip adapter and now have two!
