Yeah, it's best to take something like this slowly. My issue is also with the throat hit; it diminishes the lower you go, and for me my preferred strength is 24mg. Get too much below that and I start having to take in more and vape more frequently. LR attys/cartos and HV vaping helps give TH a boost when using lower nic levels but only goes so far. If you really want to cut down take is slowly and in as small increments as you can manage. Mixing juices to get intermediate strengths help, and I know of at least one vendor who offers juices at 0-24mg strengths in 2mg gradients. (I'll have to go look that one up again.)
