:2c: Just my two cents. I have not been around very long on ECF. But from the moment I walked in the door, I found nothing but kindness. I was helped by people in the new member forum who talked to me a bit to get my numbers up. They answered questions, pointed the way to the experts, and helped me make decisions that quite frankly have changed my vaping experience into a totally awesome lifestyle change. I have made some wonderful new friends along the way, and I did not mind that I had to follow a few rules to get here. Welcome to ECF Sunil!

I visit several forums for completely different hobbies and I have to say this is the best forum as far as how it treats newbies that I have encountered. I started from zero knowledge less than two months ago and the information here is tremendous. Granted I spent an inordinate amount of time reading old posts and trying to learn but the info was there. I can also see that I knew nothing and did not really need to post anywhere but in the new members forum for actually more than the five posts. After reading and a few posts I then believed I had enough knowledge to venture out into other forums. Even in those I was always treated with respect and not laughed at for beginner questions. Finally the whole forum has a good vibe to it due to the moderators keeping an eye on everything. There will always be differences of opinon but the moderatrs seem to keep a lid on everything and civility prevails. An excellent forum for what it is supposed to be and a great asset to the vaping community.

Thanks for all the kind welcome wishes:)))

I was more posting about the attitude of some veteran posters to a newbies thread. I was not referring to anything that has happend to me specifically. All In all the newbie forum is a good read and gas alot of info, unlike the the Canadian forum that seems to be veteran posters that attack and belittle anyone with an opinion they don't like. I guess you will have shills and rotten apples in every bunch, as long as the mods do the fine job they already do, that crapevape commentary can be kept to a minimum.:))). Thanks again for the warm welcome, I have always been in the shadows reading, glad to be out in the open now.

I tend to Read what the Poster has to say and then decide if it Makes Sense for me.

I have Read some Great Posts by members that have <25 Posts.

I have also Read some Pure Garbage from Members with >1,500.

+1 on this. In some respects post count is nothing more than a vanity exercise

I have been more than welcomed here at ECF since day 1. Even with 3 posts and wasn't sure about how your account was run, repies were more than helpful. Although some advice was just of the misinformed type, the informer even second checked and returned to apologize and informed me with what the proper info was. Some would probably not returned a reply but there are some that will. Sensible ppl at ECF are plenty and the post count doesn't always tell the story as the story could be in the members own experience. I always remember one thing, every person can read a post but not all will comprehend it in the same way.

    I will say one thing.

I think if the Post Count and the Join date were gone, readers would be More Objective about what a Person Writes.

I think people sometimes put more Faith in a Reply from a "Vet" or someone who has a Mega Post Count. This isn't Allways a Bad Thing.

    Just something I have noticed.

I think it was attitude, too.

The problem is I don't have time too dig it up, but I heard the guy who invented the Genesis-type atty had really low post count when he posted his schematics, so - there (I may be very wrong, it was way before my time) - if it's true, it perfectly illustrates the OP's point.

Quite the true story regarding the Genesis inventor. He was welcomed into the New Members forum and was advised about the necessary post counts, given links to the modding forum, chatted with by a number of vapers until his post count was large enough and the forum refreshed...:) A new vaper, experienced or not is more valuable than just a new atty design.

I agree. This holds true on many forums.
