I tend to Read what the Poster has to say and then decide if it Makes sense for me.

I have Read some Great Posts by members that have <25 Posts.

I have also Read some Pure Garbage from Members with >1,500.

+1 on this. In some respects post count is nothing more than a vanity exercise

All true, of course.

Be that as it may, whenever I read a post that contains what looks like apocryphal information, I always catch my eyes turning to look at the poster's post count. A very imperfect tool it is, but sometimes it's all you've got.

This why I usually say "welcome to the ECF" if they are just starting here, but if they also mention they are new to vaping or just quit cigs I add a "congrats" as well. Probably not that important to some, but there are many who have vaped before discovering this forum; for that matter, imho even new vapers can help this vet. I don't run up and down sites looking for all the new e-toys/e-cig vendors out there. It is often I hear about these from new vapers.

Low post count does mean something. It means the rest of us don't know who you are or why you are here. Some of the spammers that show up pretend to be normal Joes or Janes joining a vaping forum. But they are stupid and within 5 posts or replies they manage to give themselves away and we catch them, before they can go litter the forum with self-serving bs spam.

All you needed to get were 5 posts or replies then an hour wait to get out of New Members and post where you wanted. Sorry I don't see what the problem is. I was on one forum that required 40 meaningful posts and 25 days membership before you could even read most of the forum and it was just a doll forum. This is nothing here.

This should be a sticky for people with low post counts. No offense OP.
Heres a heads up. Whatever you do dont go back. Your invested in this and as you found its a lot better in every way. Just keep in mind you will have some hard times when it comes to cravings, getting irritable, and just finding yourself mad at things or people for no real good reason. It comes and goes. Its the cigs wanting you back. Keep your head up and fight it. You will win. Took me 3 weeks to forget cigs but it still kicks back every now and then. Its been 4 months for me now. When I want one now its more less irritability and anger. But its having less effect as time goes on. I have to keep slapping myself from time to time. Is this a dream? Did I really quit? Its amazing and I am so proud of myself. Good luck. U can do it for sure, and its easy once u look back on it.

Dont feel bad if u have a rant or two on the forums. I did a few times and found that 99.9% of us get it. Lots of support here. We want to help and see u better yourself. Same goes for anyone with a cig.

It's been about 20 months since I quit cigs, and every morning I could pick up a pack and be back smoking 1 1/2 pad, but I vape my head off early in the morn and make it one more day.....

WOW!! Shows how different people are. I'm only a few months vaping longer than you and I had a 2-3PAD habit for 35 years. I swear that after less than 48 hours, I never had a single craving or thought about a cigarette once in all this time. I tried a puff a few months after I started, just for S&G, and I thought I was gonna choke. There's no way in the world I could ever start smoking again. I'll smuggle nic juice in from China first.

Maybe you should up your nic some? I started with 24mg, but I had a pretty heavy habit.

ROTFLOL, I started with 24mg, upped it to 30mg, then 36mg, but have since tapered back down to 20-24mg...:) I get plenty of nic, but after 'bout 38-40 years of smoking it's just hard to feel I have it licked, even though I don't pick up a cig.

And now I am picturing hardcore Vapers (like me) swimming across shark-infested waters, holding jugs of E-Juice in death clutches.

The most disappointing thing when I tried cold turkey was that everyone I knew that did it kept telling me that the cravings never go away. Its something u have to fight every day no matter how long its been. Its etched in you brain. I thought I was doomed till I found ecigs. I have and still do vape way too much at times, just to move to the next day. I did recently go from 25mg down to 18. So far so good.
