Hey guys, since I'm messing with one of my REOs this weekend (already converted into a Raw from a beaten-up black wrinkle), could anyone tell me the difference in height of the catch cup betweent the low profile REO and a standard Grand?

I mean, how much do I have to reduce one so it can take any atty?

regards
david

It seems 3mm is a good number as Custom-C said. I tend to bottom out my atties (not to the point of forcing a short; but I like them snug), and I've milled two REOs right down to flush with the rim of the 510. 2 out of 3 of my oversized atties are seating visually flush in this scenario. I've got one of Rob's smaller o-rings in there. It seems to compress to that height as well. (the height of the 510 rim over the catch cup floor). So, I would say anywhere from 3mm to flush w/ 510 will work.

ADDIT: I just measured a random Grand. It's unmilled catchcup is 3.1-3.2 mm from the rim of the 510 . . . . . . so . . . .. .I'm ↑ splitting hairs.

From Milled catch cups and oversized atomizers thread

I cant seem to find my calipers to give you a measurement of my own LP Grand. Hope this helps.
