Yes it will pop them faster because you are pushing more amps. Its best to keep your amps lower than 2 when you go above it you risk popping it not to mention you are putting a strain on your battery. I have gone up as high as 2.5 amps but it will shorten the life quite a bit. Try getting a higher ohm atty it will handle it much better.

In general we always have 2 values. Resistance and voltage. V^2/R=Power.

I do vape lr at HV. My LR's pull 24W @ 6V. For me i haven't a noticed a huge enough difference between vaping at 3.7V vs 6V. On my 3ohm carts there is a much bigger difference.

For clarity. I have "normal" 3 ohms carts and dual coil LR carts and single coil lr carts. Both LR carts are 1.5 ohm.
