I think Fourthrok might be a low-voltage/low-wattage vaper.

What I mean by this is, even though I have a Vamo, a Lavatube, a Twist, and a Kgo VV, I still find myself staying in the lower levels (roughly the kind of levels provided by your standard eGo). Part of this is my juice. I vape mostly sweet flavors, and those can be easily affected by too much heat. Butterscotch, for example, is very temperamental. Too low, I can't taste it at all, one volt or watt too high, the flavor goes out the window completely. (Part of me still thinks I'm doing something "wrong", since all my vape buddies vape at 4.5 or higher volts, and usually within the 7.5-8.0 watts -- of course, they're using different cartos with different ohms, but still, I'm the only "low voltage/wattage" vaper I've met personally -- unless they're using eGos with clearos).

I know there is no definitive "right or wrong" way to vape. It just so happened that even though I can run the entire gamut of vv and vw, I still like the lower end of things.

I Vape a .6-.8 ohm coil at 4.2-3.7v battery.

Sorry, little confused by .6 and point .8 ohms. Did you leave out the "2" before the point?
He may be building his own coils on an RBA. If so, that is a common resistance for use on a mechanical mod.

Nah youre not alone, I vape at 4.2 volts with a a 2 ohm single coil carto.

I don't understand why my juice tastes funny and everyone else can vape the same or similar juices at volts and watts higher than me and still taste the same thing. I know taste is subjective, but my friend said he pushes his MBV butterscotch (80/20 pg/vg) on a 2.0 ohm dual coil carto between 8-11 watts. I know the whole volt x volt / ohm = watts equation. I even got a hold of a dual coil carto, but it had a 2.6 ohm resistance. I tried another vendor's butterscotch (didn't want to risk my MBV 'scotch) in that dual coil carto, and I have to vape at 13 watts to taste it. 13 watts!! For a low-v/w guy like me, that was just waaaaaaaaaaay too hot. Also drained my 1500 mAh 18650 twice as fast as normal.

I wonder if I got something thick like Boba's and tried cranking my devices up like everyone else. I tried Boba's on my cousin's Provari at 5 volts and it was consistent with each hit and didn't get hot. I forgot what ohm carto he was using. :-( Maybe it was 3.5 or something around that range. I'm about 99.9% sure it's my juice, and not the delivery devices or the pv itself.

EDIT: When I said "everyone else", I meant the vapers in my immediate circle. Not "everyone else" in general.

I use 2.5 ohm Ikenvape single coil carts in my tanks on a Provari, Ovale V8, and VV Gripper.

I vape my fruit flavors between 3.5 and 3.7 volts. Higher and they taste burnt and the flavor is missing.

My coffee flavors are best between 4.2 and 4.6 volts.

A couple of cinnamon flavors seem best at 5.6 or more.

So I'm all over the voltage range, depending upon the specific flavor.

Yeah, that makes sense. Since my vaping journey began, I've tried everything short of the more exotic mods and RBAs. Since then, I've managed to find my perfect setup. I went from being a juice fiend to finally being happy with my basic six: butterscotch, caramel coffee, biscotti, and "dem buns" aka cinnabun (Dem Buns took me completely by surprise, because any of the cinnamon juices I've tried in the past literally destroyed my throat. Dem Buns has more of the icing than the cinnamon, IMO.) The last two are tobacco flavors I use almost exclusively with my Volt.

Every single juice I ever tried tasted different in different delivery systems on different devices. I'm SO GLAD I found my vv/vw and my carto tanks. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm a very, very, VERY satisfied vaper.

You are correct Rocket. I do vape "low voltage low wattage". So does my husband. I am all about flavor when I vape. I also like TH and vapor (which I do get in abundance) but see no point in tasting burnt stuff. I don't smoke, after all. Not anymore. I have several VV devices but always set my volts low...between 3.4 and 3.7 with a 2 ohm single coil. I've been romancing the VV Gripper and the V8 lately though, and they vape so efficient and strong with PWM that I rarely budge off 3v with them...so I'm getting some 3ohm cartos so I can have some wiggle room. Everyone has different ideas of what is good. I don't mind being in the low V&W minority. I like to march to my own drum!

It all very subjective, though.

I vape most juices these days at 3.5v on a 2.8 ohm Vivi Nova 2.5ml tank. I had reached the point where I liked the taste better on 3 ohm cartos around 3.7 - 4.0 volts, anyway. It seems the VV is more efficient at atomization than a carto.

It depends on your hardware. I know my Provari voltage is accurate. We all know that not all mods are created equal. Some who say they vape at ridiculously high voltages may be SETTING their voltage high but not actually getting that level of voltage to the coil under load. The Ego Twist is one of those that scales back at low resistance levels. On a 1.5 ohm carto, the 4.8v setting on a Twist produces far less voltage according to the YouTube tests.

There are so many things that will change the voltage/wattage that works best. Juice used, head used, even the type of battery cell used can make a difference. My mood at any given moment can make a big difference in what power range I want. Hell maybe I just need to blow my nose before turning the power up. I figure that the power I'm using only needs to satisfy me, and the power level that someone else uses doesn't matter.
It's no different than the flavors I like/dislike.
