Lower nicotine level if you use mods?

the basic of mods is basically battery life..durability and style....most batteries used in mods are the 3.7v ones but they all differ in sizes..mods can bring certain performance to the table such as stacking batteries to make it perform at 5 and 6v..some can do variable voltage..

as far nic levels..ive never really noticed any difference from when I was using a penstyle to an eGo to a mod..I've always 18mg..

I didn't go up or down with my nic level. MY Silver Bullet battery (18650) lasted all day and the performance was steady til the end. That's at 3.7 volts (18650 batt); with 2 cr123's that's six volts and very hot so you just need a short puff instead of a long drag. My sweet spot is my GLV2 at 5volts the best of both worlds although the batteries (ICR123 @3.7 volts each don't last as long. It all depends on what yer after! I know yer on a budget Sandybeach, as am I. Get a Silver Bullet, get both style batts 4@3.0volts, 2 18650@3.7 volts (one charger will charge both batts), get 510 or 306 attys at different resistances 1.5/1.8/2.0 for the 18650 3.7 volt vapping and a couple higher ohm attys 2.5 to 3.5 for use with the cr123's. With that last pile of stuff you'll be able to see what suits you best. Then you can throw cartomizers into the middle of it and use different nic strength juice to your taste. That's it I'm dun! Good luck and NO ANALOGS.

...higher voltage/wattage will atomize more juice resulting in more nic inhaled so to get the same level of nic, you would adjust acordingly...have you ever seen a video where someone takes a short puff and then blows out a HUGE plume of vapor...that is an example of what I am talking about.......
madjack:2cool:

p.s. mods can also be better at extending batt life...less amp draw at higher voltages to get a similar wattage as a 3.7v device with LR gear...it's an electrical thing........mj

Heyas sandybeach,

For myself, my first mod was a 3.7v bottom feeder. Didn't care for it all that much. Performance was about identical to my ego batts, but was alot bulkier. So, no change in juices at that point.

My second mod was a vv tube mod. Suddenly, vaping was SO much better. With a few hits to adjust the voltage, every hit was perfect. Tasted alot better. Was warmer. Lots more vapor. No burning. etc. So, I was then vaping MUCH more, as it was more enjoyable. And getting more vapor with every hit. For about a week, I was getting light headed all the time, and didn't know why. Then realized my juice intake was way up, and therefore my nic intake. I kept reducing the nic lvl of my juice until the symptoms went away. Ended up going from 24mg to ~5mg so that I could vape as much as I wanted.

I'm sure it's different for each person though.

:D

Thanks, you guys. Your responses helped me understand -- sort of. When I get a mod, no clue what to get. If it intensifies the flavor of the juices that would be great! Still don't really taste most of the 25 or so juices I have, except menthol!

I know what you mean. Most juices have more of an aftertaste than a taste. Going in, there's mostly th or no th. Not as much flavor registers. But on the exhale, I taste the juice alot more. Not saying there's no flavor on the draw. Just that the aftertaste registers alot more for me.

It's opposite for me, I used to vape 18mg on my KGO with an LR atty, but now I run my Provari at 5v and seem to vape less(I won't go less than 4.2v TBH). I think since I vape a little less now I might want more nic to counter that considering I get insane nic cravings throughout the day.

What an awful thing I did to myself that faithful night I tried smoking.

You can get a bit more nic, from the extra power. A decent HV or VV mod makes it like you are always using a straight pasthrough, lots of oomph.

I vaped 3 ml/day on either 808 or Riva 510 gear, very consistent. When I switched to a good VV mod I doubled eliquid consumption, 6 ml/day, again very consistent -- I carried a 6ml top-off bottle, I would just empty it at the end of the day, and refill it for the next day.

I stayed 24 mg/ml for several months on the VV, no problems, though in April I decided to start curtting my mg (just because I felt like I could, not from too much nic). Now, 7 months later, I'm using 15 mg/ml.

Another bump in intake happened when I got a good carto tank, though that was only for a few days, the novelty of continuosly getting an excellent vape, very few refills during a day. I'm now back at my consistent 6ml/day consumption -- twice what I used on 808 or Riva, but consistent since late Feb.

Notcigs M1A1 1", works like a charm, no leaks. No cracking, though I vape a simple vanilla tobacco. It's sweet with the Ikenvape 801 fusion 2.5 ohm carto.

Awesome, thanks! I got a tank but gave it away because it was so fiddly. Thinking about giving it another go, although I don't know about using 801s because I like a wreckless TH :)

I did the same thing, and I really like the phat tank from electronicstix. 5.5ml, and the carto doesn't slide all over the place. Worth looking into.
