Thanks, if this was posted in a wrong thread I appologize

Thread title does not match question.

Nic does take something away from Flavor. Not a lot though and it is all about what YOU are happy with.
I find that higher Nic is needed in a lesser atomizer due to less Vaporized liquid in each draw. Better Tanks can vaporize a much higher amount of E-liquid so it is simple to reduce Nic without intake loss. Flavor is generally higher in these devices in any case.

This is somewhat subjective, in particular to the quality of the nicotine used by the manufacturer, but nicotine by itself has a peppery flavor to it. So, higher levels of nicotine will contribute this factor to the main flavoring extracts to a greater degree than lower levels of nicotine would.

I've found that I can detect the most unadulterated flavor from 0% nicotine juices, however I prefer a slight throat hit so I use at least 6mg nic in my juices.

The choice in wick material has a major effect on flavor production. Most clearomizer tanks use silica string, which IMHO is a poor flavor carrier. Cotton or polyfill (cartomizers and cartotanks) are better wick flavor carriers.
