I'm 54 years old, smoked for more than 36 years, quit instantly when I took my first vape almost 3 months ago and I'm reaping yet another great benefit to vaping - my blood pressure is good!

Even with BP medications over the past 10 years I don't ever remember my BP being less than 160 over 120 but this morning it was 118 over 85, still not the very best but for me a huge step in the right direction. Oh, and I have not taken any meds in the past 3 months either!

Has anyone else experienced an improvement in their BP?

...as the benefits of vaping continue to grow.

I thought I was the only one! I had to go to my doctor with low blood pressure, never had to do that before. Changed my medication to 1/3 what I was taking for high blood pressure, this after about 2 months of vaping.

This seems to have happened with a lot of people on BP meds. It is happening with other meds, too. Interestingly enough, some people actually need MORE meds for some problems.
Congrats to those of you able to cut your meds down. Has to be a good sign.

I was actually rushed to the ER by co-workers when my BP tanked after vaping for the first two weeks with no analogs. My doc had me on three BP medications - the dosage of a HEAVY smoker - but I wasn't a smoker anymore! Now I'm only on one. :D

    Yikes!

Need to tell Mom to make sure she monitors her BP when she start vaping. I know she's on all sorts of meds.

I've been vaping since July of last year. I started out at 18mg and about 3ml a day. I'm now at 6mg and 1-2ml a day. I have been on bp meds for 12 yrs now and on the meds my bp would be average 120/70 even when I smoked my pack a day. After I quit and starting vaping I would notice my bp readings were higher with the average being 148/88. Sometimes it will be as high as 165/99! My dr knows I vape and could only say maybe I'm getting more nicotine. So I dropped down to the 6mg and it's still going on :( I take my bp in the morning before any vaping and its good, always 120/70 or under but as I vape during the day and then take my bp again it shoots up! I am not going to stop vaping just yet though! I'm curious as to why this is happening to me?? My dr keeps telling me it's a side effect of nicotine but I smoked for 20+ yrs and was able to keep it under control so this is bugging me!!

I am having the same issues with high BP. I have smoked for over 40 years and have been taking BP meds for a few years but keeping my BP around 130-140/70-75 while smoking light cigs.

I have quit cigarettes and have been vaping for about 1 month now and my BP has continued to climb. The first week it jumped to 160/85 then up a little more and I just took it now and it is at 195/101. I started with 24mg and cut down to around 18mg of nic but it keeps climbing.

I am also experiencing some edema in one ankle & foot which I never had before. I think that I am getting much more nicotine than I did with my light cigarettes. I need to call my doctor to see what is going on.
