Fairly new in playing around with RBAs and wondering what's the highest and lowest gauge wires people are using. How many wraps, what are you wrapping it around, and how many ohms? I've seen several people who use 28 or 30 gauge but was wondering if there are others using different gauges or do most stick with the 28 or 30 variety.

28 to 33 is the most common.
i use 32 - in my genesis 4/5 wraps give me 2 ohms on a mesh wick. same wire with 4/5 in my silica drippers gives me about 1.6-1.8 ohms on a 3mm wick.
the higher the number the higher the resistance per inch and the thinner the wire. with the mods and apv's we have a limited range of resistance we can use with our devices and batteries so this is why the range of wire is so small. too high or too low and it just doesnt work out correctly

Do a little searching and poking around on here. There is so much info about wire sizes and resistances its crazy. Any question you have has most likely been asked and answered multiple times. IMO it's best to start there
