I wouldn't have assumed they would send me non resistance wire if I d1dn't order it either! Hell, they may not have even known what they sent you since it w3asn't really labeled well. Goes back to the golden rule of check before fire though. It could be fair to say that I over check, but you just never know. I just dropped my kayfun onto a wood floor. and before I fired it, I checked it just to make sure. If the coil had moved and was touching the base or the chimney I would have a short. The way I look at it... No harm in being sure.

I dint understand why they just threw it in with my kanthal I ordered

Maybe they knew you were using it for vaping? Non-resistant wire is typically used (as the legs) in many attys like the Ithaka, The Diver, etc.

Just be glad you were using a protected mod! If you would have fired that on a mechanical there wouldn't have been a chip protecting the battery and it would've easily went thermal.

The thing is I did fire it on my nemesis to bind the microcoil. I kinda knew it must of been weird, litterally a tap on the switch and it glows bright it was hard to look at. The vamo doesn't fire under 1.2 or .3 but it can still test ohms. Guess I got away lightly. God knows how these efest withstood that

Or even something as commom as an iClear30. Basically any top coil atty that has any distance to travel through a metal tube that might touch the legs and short out. Nice job for chiming in with that, though. Got to it before I did.

And I'm very happy that OP managed to safely find this out. Vaping in general is entirely trial and error, some less than others. At least his biggest inconvenience was a non-firing coil and not a weapon of mass destruction going off in his face.

Dealer may not have meant it for you - shipping mix up
dealer may have been giving Free samples of (xXx) wire and you didn't fully read the description.

Sounds like a sample of No Resistance for doing N-R-N coil builds.

Stretch it out - Read from both ends - if extremely low, Mark package as No-Resistance and save for a future possible project.

It's in the bin now. Long gone, never touching it again haha

Exactly what you should do if you're not completely comfortable or have serious questions about safety in my opinion. Safety first; blind, groping experimentation second.

I don't know. Big on re-purposing. Could have used it to hang a picture or something. :)
