I was wondering if others have come across a little problem using a LR atty. I so far have used only all-VG liquid with it, not sure if it matters. I get a nasty wild-animal (musky) urine aftertaste with my ecigarette (510 setup) using these atomizers.

To be more specific, I've used only Vaporbomb flavors (pineapple, chocolate, and cinnabomb [which is THE bomb]) with these atomizers. I think something in the flavoring must be producing this taste with the higher temperature.

Otherwise, I love the atty's for their better vapor qualities, etc. I just don't want to taste the back alleys of Paris if I don't have to. Help!!

VG juice shouldn't have that effect on an atty. i would try switching it up to a different juice to see if there's a difference, and if not, i'd try either cleaning the atty or just use a different one. i'm assuming that you're using a LR 510, so i recommend trying at a LR 306 atty (which has a 510 connection), or get an adapter and try a LR 901. both produce a better flavor than 510s IMO.

Is this just one LR atty? Have you used non-VG in it after getting the unpleasant taste? I had to toss one atty because it just got a bad taste, don't know why, and I couldn't wash it out.

My VG liquids don't wick as quickly and I'll get more of a dry taste if I'm vaping quickly. But I can't say that I've ever tasted anything that I would call animal urine (ick!).

Could the taste be caused by combining more then one flavor accidently? [Still some cinnabomb in the atty and adding pineapple?]

As others have suggested try a couple of brands of VG liquid, perhaps the one you're using has a funky taste at that temp.

Thanks,
-Brian

Thanks everybody. I think you've helped me figure it out! I guess it was a problem with flooding the atty, either using a driptip or a PTB cartridge. Just today I discovered the simple poly plug thingie and everything is much better, with both kinds of atty's. Before, I was running into a problem with constantly having to 'top off' and it was getting ridiculous, so I did some more reading here. I think I was keeping my atties in a flooded state and burning the cartridge rim and possibly altering the PTB as well. So far so good, with any luck I made some progress up the learning curve.
