What exactly is an LR used for and what makes it different than a "stock" atty?

LR stands for "low resistance", which means that the LR atty burns a little hotter than the regular atty because it draws more current from the battery. I have found that the LR atty will produce more vapor and throat hit. It also enhances the flavor of the juice - sometimes making it better, and sometimes worse, depending upon the particular juice.

LR's heat up quicker and burn hotter. They also draw your battery down quicker. They're supposed to simulate higher voltage vaping. In my experience they produce more vapor and change the flavor of the juice a little bit. If you're curious about them, just get one next time you order and give it a try.

I use them on my PS V3 with a 3.7v battery. Using a LR with a 3.7v in the V3 is suppose to give you the same power as a 6v and I have noticed that is does consider 2 other working mates have the 6v version with standard atty's. Although as far as the life of the battery I am not sure what to day. My V3 with 3.7v battery and LR 801 atty is lasting me 4 days before I have to change out the battery.
I am using the IC 17670 battery which produces 1600mAh with my LR atty. Almost twice the amount of mAh than the standard 6v that comes with the system. I have also noticed that my atty are not really getting hot but they do go through juice pretty quickly. I tried my system with a standard atty and it did not produce enough vapor for me.
