Im trying my first 510 LR today. Personally, Im not SO impressed. I like my 901 LR, and 510 is the 510 equivalent. SO far, Im seeing that it looks EXACTLY like a 510, inside and out. Besides firing it up, the only way to tell the difference is a "LR" stamp on the battery connection. They still contain wicks, and bridges are the same. I'm doing what I did with my 901, and using blue fluval carts, fluval cut to exact size, so I dont have to drip. Performance wise is...Gets hot QUICK, and REAL HOT. Kinda like taking a 5 second warm up on the button, then continuing another 5 seconds to drag, But all done in 4 or 5 seconds. Not sure how else to define it. Vapor is so far maybe time and a half to double of standard 510. But I had to fix the wick on my first one here, it was giving attitude. I think when I open one up where the wick is perfectly placed, it will work well right out of the gate. Just be easy on it, or burning the wick could be VERY easily done. Im not attempting to remove the wick and give it a shot that way until I have a couple days of standard performance to compare to. But so far Im getting some great hits off of 3-4 seconds, versus the normal 5 or 6 seconds, and I'm liking that
Battery life...I assume this will work like the 901, and kill the battery in half the time, not destroy the battery...You hear a lot about it destroying the battery, and it makes me think that it will become inoperable, but thats not the case so far. You just have to recharge twice as often, which will simply excel the battery
through its lifespan.
