Hi everyone,

Im new to the forum and to vaping. I quit analogs about 3 weeks ago and haven't looked back since. I have been using a 510 and I love it a lot more since i switched to cartimizers from atty's.

I think I want to buy a Higher voltage mod but I am not sure yet and was wondering if it is possible to put a LR cartimizer on a normal 510 and what it will do to the batteries.

I better let an expert address this issue as I "think" the LR atty's and carto's will drain a standard 510 battery very quickly and not recommended for it. In fact, I think that is exactly what it said on the site i bought from...

But again, I have an EGO... so not certain of this for a standard 510.

i am sure "experts" on this issue will answer this soon enough...

Here is what the site I bought from says on their LR 510 atomizer... since nobody that knows far more than me on this has responded as of yet..

*************************************

Only use the 510 LR atomizers on 3.7 volt or lower batteries.
These were designed to work on 450mah or higher batteries as they do draw more power from the battery and will drastically reduce the lifespan of a battery between charges.
DO NOT use these atomizers on any passthrough or regular or mega batties, you will ruin the atomizer and the passthrough or battery.

Hi and welcome to ECF. LR atty's aren't recommended for use on 510's. As TheBuss said it puts a higher drain on your batteries. That said I used LR's on my 510's without any problems. I didn't know it wasn't recommended when I did or I wouldn't have. It never caused any problem as far as I could tell. The only issue is that they do drain batteries quicker and since the 510 battery life is pretty bad, it just makes it worse using an LR.

Low Res atties are the only way to go. the 510 LR is pretty darned close to the TH you'd get from a regular analog. make sure to keep it wet. dry burning will kill your atty. the problem with the 510 is the limited battery life. the 510 atty is my favorite. switch to an eGo. those batteries last and last, plus they use a 510 atty. i vape my eGo with a low res atty. that is my favorite combination of PV/atty. you'll be fine with that combo. Happy Vaping!!!
