lr cartomizers, what to do?!

I tried a lr cartomizer and love the th and amount of vapor. The only problem is it severly changed the flavor of any juice i've tried. I'm a tobacco flavor guy, been vaping dumaurier and belmont juice and enjoy it. Tried a ry4 and it was meh, cherry tobacco that tasted like cough syrup. I wanted to try canadian classic, any reviews?

So any lr users whats your fav vape? Tobacco or other flavor, can you give comparison on how close it is to the real thing?

I just tried a couple samples out. it's called ciggy+. this is the closest thing to an actual analog I have ever tasted. been dripping on a standard 510.

I know what you mean. I am a canadian classic adv guy. well canadian gold from nfn. I use the ego t mainly. the difference in taste between a reg and lr atty on any flavour is very noticeable, to the point I can use the same juice in a different atty and have 2 flavours. hell this last lr tank atty I just got seems to have a nuclear coil in it. I tried a vv unit this weekend and cranked to 6.2v it was burn. this lr on 3.7v is almost as hot as a reg on 6.2v.

and this jokesmoke at 33mg for morning vape with coffee is like having an export green death. juicy clear black cherry tobacco is far from cough syrup. cherry is very subtle. and on the atomic atty it has tons of throat hit

Welcome to the forum.

Hmmm...what e-cig are you using your LR cartomizer with? And do you know the brand of cartomizer? Boge, Bauway...? Just asking because LR cartomizers are intended to simulate 5 volt vaping when used on a 3.7 volt device. They run a lot hotter than standard cartomizers, so they go through juice a lot faster. And the flavour changes as well.

It's also inadvisable to use them on e-cigs that they aren't rated for, since this can end up killing the battery.

Can't offer any advice on tobacco juices, but someone here will for sure!

not sure what brand these carts are, i recieved them from another member. I understand the strain and draw these put on batteries, thats why i only use them with my "disposable" models.

If they are from the ones I sent you, they are BOGE 2.0ohms Myself I barely spent any time with standard resistance carts, I really didn't like them, flavors were bland and airy. When you say changes the flavor, do you find it better or worse? It will probably just take you time to get used to. Also the other thing to check with LR carts is that you are not getting a flavor from burning/metalic, you seriously have to drip top up frequently BEFORE they start drying. Is your liquid clear? I find darker liquids tend to leave residue that stays in the cart and gives not so pleasant flavor addition after awhile.

On another topic, I don't see how ppl are happy who water wash their carts, I find this disgusting, almost like rust is forming because they take so long to completely dry out. My fav way of cleaning is to blow them out, put some more juice in, blow that out, then fill.

Does the LR Tank atty help with the flavor?? I bought an eGo-T and to be honest, I hate it. It sucks the flavor right out of all my juices to the point that I can't even see the point in continuing to use it. I have other PV's so I am OK that way, but I bought the eGo-T, thinking it would be more discreet and easy to chuck into my purse and go on with my day. The lack of flavor was a huge disappointment, since they had such a great concept.

One thing I never expected with vaping is how specific methods work better with specific juices. For example, I love vaping mint on a LR Ego atty, but it’s pathetic on an Ego-T atty. Tobacco flavors, on the hand, such as my Dumay from JC (mmmm…) work really well on the Ego-T. I’m really happy with the Ego for that reason. It’s so versatile.

I will say that the Ego-T atties really tighten up after a couple weeks. I’ve boiled em, blow through em, dry burned em, soaked em vodka and still… takes like 10 seconds to get a mouthful. Are there any tips on how to increase the draw? My newish atty is perfect, but my older one sucks. It still gives good vapor, but it’s like I’m sucking through a microscopic pinhole.

on the ego t I found the draw comes from slits at the bottom where the battery connects. I filed the slits bigger on a couple attys to increase air flow, and take the inner plastic piece out of the mouth part

Not sure what you mean by the slits though... you mean the slits inside the atty? Near the battery I see three holes. One large one that's obvious, then two tiny ones on either side of it.

Ya, ok you got the condensation blocker. yes there are slits on the outer edge of the battery that allow air flow. loosen the atty a bit from the battery and you'll see what I mean. it doesn't solve all the issues.

and I vape dumay on a lr atty. I only have one reg t atty left. you should see the atomic T atty I bought. it has so much air flow and gets hotter than any other atty I've tried to date. it's taken a week to break in. and I had to try a couple juices with it to get something useful. juice had an odd taste with it. I still have to let the button off half way through a vape to prime the next hit.

that said, I want to order some more boge lr cartos. they vape like a champ and are easy to top up. I can say I don't like the mega cartos, they are pain to fill and I made a mess last night topping it up

Yeah Ive got a few of LR Ego-T atties coming from NFN. Would be nice to bump up the TH with some of my juices. I get a good TH from Dumay on just a reg T atty. Love that stuff. I got Hexport Hey coming soon. JC is good stuff.

Only cartomizers I've tried were Royal Smokers from Happy Vaper. Felt a bit cheapo to be honest and they leaked, so it wasn't a good experience. The more I read about the Bloog though makes me want to see what the fuss is about.

Where do you get the Boge cartos, and the atomic T atty for that matter?

As a side note, I'm vaping Minted Water from FredomSmokeUSA on a LR ego atty (not a T) and I'll be damned if doesn't taste exactly like a minty honeydew melon. Delicious!

I myself have found the newer lr ego-t type b cylinder attys are a big improvement on flavour and TH and easier to get a draw from.

well I am jumping on the carto bandwagon now. I just ordered 20 from the classifieds. lr boge cartos. I was so impressed with the one sparky gave me to try I am changing over. (add to the fact the last 2 ego t lr attys I got were garbage). I'm liking dripping in the morning and the cartos fill the easy mode. added a cone, 1100 mah battery and charger too. not sure what the cone is good for but the battery comes with one...

The cone is good for tightening up the draw on cartos/510 attys, if you find you're getting too much air the cone will restrict it a bit and alter the flavour yet again.

Same here, about the Bloog cartos - almost looking forward to running out of DIY stuff so I'll have a reason to order some from Happy Vaper to try out.

Boge LR cartos can be had from Happy Vaper or Electrovapors:

Happy Vaper: Blank (empty) cartomizers (cartridge + atomizer combined into a single unit) for the Happy 510/eGo e-cigarette.

Electrovapors: 510 Low Resistance (2.0 ohm) Cartomizers

Personally I can't imagine vaping tobacco flavor, tobacco tastes like crap compared to a nice flavor like raspberry I still smoke analogs as well but not for the taste that's for sure I love my ego-t by the way, I guess the point in vaping is to get the nic fix, the taste is pleasant enough for me at least, real nice, and I don't want tons of vapor anyway, if it were invisible I wouldn't care.

and to me nothing beats a coffee and a smoke! thats why i enjoy the tobacco flavors, i'm really enjoying these boge cartos, still on the first one with almost two weeks worth of vaping.
