I'm kinda new to 510 atty's. I usually use cartomizers, but when I got my Riva, I started using a LR510 atty. It's been working awesome for the past 2 weeks, but all of a sudden it started leaking like crazy. It still vapes good, it just won't hold the liquid anymore. Any suggestions? Thanks! BTW, the wick and bridge have been removed on this atty.

Its a crap shoot

I agree with this.

Of the 8 atomizers I own, about 2 worked well. The rest feel plugged up all the time, or won't produce much vapor, or produce good vapor but no/bad taste, or leak all over the place for no apparent reason, etc., etc.

I just ordered 10 new ones and 5 drip tips from heaven-gifts...hopefully one or two will be worth a damn.

Hawaii! Yay haha
I get my LR510 atties from Heaven Gifts, and they all work fine, I take out the bridge and wick...

On a clean atty, I put 2 drops, vape 3 or 4 times, then 1 drop, vape awhile... 1 drop, vape awhile... maybe after about 10 drops, I blow the atty out from the top end, then wipe the threads on the bottom, and blow from that end to make sure the holes are clear. I do this routine all day, just as an example.

If your atty is leaking, maybe you need to blow it out more often, or maybe your drops aren't in the center, and they're landing on the mesh on the sides of the coil? Just some ideas.

I have a habit - when I vape, I don't move the e-cig away from my mouth. When I exhale a few times, the tip and the atty usually have water on them. It happens when the vapor passes over the e-cig. I thought my atty or drip tip was leaking, but they weren't :D

Good luck, and happy vaping!

Am I correct in assuming that removing the bridge and wick is for dripping, exclusively?

Yes you are.

My LR510 has been "leaking" out the vent holes for weeks but it vapes fine. IT's cause I flood it a lot when dripping. I just keep vaping it till that puddle disappears because it just gets sucked back into the atomizer any ways. I defitely wouldn't throw it away or worry about it. Heck I have been using this LR510 for a month now.

My other regular 510 I run with a cart on my eGo and it also has been going for close to 5 weeks with no vapor trail off, no leaking, but then again I don't drip it. I think the key is I am using juice that doesn't destroy my atomizers... finally.

Removing the wick and bridge WILL make a well-performing atty leak like crazy. Trust me on that one. When o first started vaping I didn't blow my atomizers out. After the first month I started blowing them out 5 times a day and haven't had any problems since. This is with the wick AND bridge still intact. I don't screw around with my atomizers anymore. Dripping works perfectly fine with the bridge and wick. I see no benefit from removing them, never had a problem with burnt taste.
