Instead of using petroleum jelly (Vaseline) has anyone tried food grade silicon thread lubricant? Its safe for contact with food and used on food processing machinery? I use it on my meat slicer and grinder.
Well, it's slippery for sure, may work in a pinch as a temporary last resort for o-rings maybe, but over time its gonna stiffen up, also I would guess it does'nt have the best electrical properties. May not even allow the GGTS to operate. Personally I would'nt even try it except as an emergency last resort. This is just my uneducted opinion, TIFWIW.
